The National Cooperative Credit Union Ltd. observes its first Family Fun Day on Sunday, October 16, 2010.  The event is part of the development thrust of the Credit Union Movement and seeks to improve and enhance family life.

The activities will be held at Macoucherie under the theme “NCCU–One Big Family”.  It will bring families together in a relaxed atmosphere for a day of fun, frolic and sharing.

The event will begin at 12 noon  and will include a short ceremony at 4:00pm, games for all ages, live entertainment and local cuisine.  Among the entertainers will be top calypsonians, including Tasha P, Soul Puss and Sour Sour, the Q-Talent Search  (QTS) semi finalists,  Waitukubuli Dancers and cultural groups.   Music will be provided by the Fanatik Band.

The Family Fun Day is the NCCU’s  main event for  Credit Union Week, which will be observed from October 16 to the 22. NCCU will join credit unions worldwide in celebrating the important economic and social contributions credit unions make to their communities. The theme for the week is–”Credit Unions Build a Better World.”

Well Done NCCU. I will be there. Thanks for giving back to the communities and people. Good work. Keep it up.

I guess the persons who wanted to derail the process must be very disappointed. I dare say that this is a big blow for them.
