NDFD gives to Grotto Home

NDFD Grotto The management and staff of the National Development Foundation of Dominica Ltd (NDFD) have made a contribution of clothing and food items to the Grotto Home for the Homeless.

A NDFD release says the donation, which was made earlier this week, was part of giving back to the community ‘in which we serve.’

“It was the initiative of the former Director, Mr. Ronald Knight, who suggested that staff members put together a package for Charity – all staff were excited about the idea and we all contributed towards the gesture.” according to the release.

NDFD staff paid for the items of clothing while the food items were bought with NDFD funds.

The release states “The Foundation believes that by enhancing the lives of people – ensuring that they have enough to eat and are in comfortable clothing – we are indeed keeping sync with the Foundation’s motto: Building Dominica.”

The NDFD says it believes that this will be the first of a lasting relationship between the Foundation and the Grotto Home for the Homeless.

That’s a very revitalizing gesture. You are a pillar in the community for extending your wallet and your heart to the needy and the poor. That’s how people are measured…by their character, their action and keeping promises made, not solely by words. Your word is factual because you acted upon it, that’s faith! Great works!
