New look Chavez reappears in public

Chavez's new look

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez reappeared in public on Monday with his hair cropped, during a ceremony in which he appointed new cabinet members.

Chavez said that he is not suffering from colon, bladder, nose or rectal cancer.

“That is not true; I repeat it with absolute transparency. They removed a tumor, we continue to watch and there is no presence thus far of cancerous cells in my body,” said Chavez and added the chemo sessions are a “preventive measure.”

The Venezuelan president had said in the morning that on Sunday evening he felt some of his hair fall out and then he decided to have it all cropped.

“I had to call the barber and tell him: look, my hair is falling out,” he said.

During the ceremony he showed a picture from his childhood in which he appeared with his hair cropped and then he joked again by saying he has rejuvenated with his new haircut.

You spell the man’s name wrong, you say “vivo chaves” (i live chaves?) can’t even speak spanish properly lol and your comment is quite possible one of the worst written I have ever seen. I’m not even talking about grammar and spelling here as I myself am no expert, but just plain silliness and incoherence. Basically you show all the qualities of a Chavez supporter, venezuela is full of people like you. Trust me I speak from experience.

Dominicans must take responsibility for their development. when we became independent, we made the promise to take reponsibility for the future of our country. it is very risky to become dependent on another country for our survival. The Government have lost confidence in the ability of Dominicans to build this country, when there is enough evidence that we can do it. We have done it in the pass and we can do it again.

    Mr. Chavez;

research on the sour sop leaves and fruit.
It is stronger than chemo with those terrible side effects.

There are many herbs around to cleanse your system and give you a fresh start.

    All the best.

Preventive measure? Chemo therapy was not meant to be used so loosely. It is a treatment used for CANCER to CANCER patients.. i doubt any doctor in their right mind and degree would use a cancer treating method as a “just in case”. if that was the case then the doctors should re-evaluate their titles

First of all u look older Mr.Chavez than how u looked before your illness and treatment, chemo treatment and your hair falling off is no good sign.Yes u may want to make that comparison with your childhood picture, there is a saying once a man and twice a child, meanning when we are aged and can’t help ourselves like babies and children we need others to care for us.Anyway i wish u well and that u will reflect and maybe advise Roosevelt Medard Skerrit that power does not belong to us when we are entrusted by the people to govern the affairs of the nation to the benefit of all equally.

@Really: He went through chemo clearly his appearance would be transformed at least for a while.

More importantly is his dire need to pretend all is well and he is in charge. These men are going down with the boots on, but it’s even sad that those who hold them in high esteem and try to emulate them can’t see that everything is for a time and they should steer clear from this anti-humaine, anti-social behaviour

Mr Chazev, repent for your days are numbered it is appointed unto man once to die not twice once!!!! just make sure your heart is worthy.

    • August 3, 2011

IS YOUR HEART WORTHY???? HAVE YOU REPENTED LATELY? HE IS NOT THE ONLY ONE WHOSE DAYS ARE NUMBERED. WE ALL HAVE OUR APPOINTED HOUR, ILLNESS AND DEATH IS NOT JUST FOR ONE SET, IT’S FOR ALL OF US. SO BE PREPARED TOO.

Is this the picture of the Chavez I have seen on TV in the past? He looks like he got a face lift. This does not look like the bitter and critic and difficult Chavez I saw over a year ago on CNN when he visited the U.S, the United Nations and was interviewed on Larry King Live. His demeanor was totally different and that of a miserable person. He is now smiling and looks happy. What a change. He probably got a good rest in Cuba and while recuperating. For the good of the world, the region, I hope he keeps up this apparent pleasant disposition.
Those dictatorship governments have a way of pretending that all is well with them and that they are healthy when they are not and are on the brink of death. We will hear more as time will tell.

How many loans has Chavez given you at 0% interest, how many grants has this man given to you and your fellow Caribbean countries and has nver asked for nothing in return

What about your wicked ways? Will the Lord find you?

The man says he is having chemo as a preventative measure, but your evil eye wants to put more into it Jees! Wish unto others what you wish for yourself. that is a spiritual law with any religion. Oh! You didn’t learn that!

Do not rejoice over someone elses misfortune and or illness…i pity u and will pray for u

      • Truth and Love
        August 2, 2011

No one is rejoicing. This face does not look like Chavez. Even a new hairdo will not make someone look so young and healthy.
They have a way of doctoring their faces. We will have to see Chavez in person to believe that this is indeed his face and is authentic.
A man who is sick and who takes Chemo will never look like that.
There is a Canadian, a leader of one of the Parties who is presently undergoing cancer treatment. Previous to this he was operated on. Last week he appeared on TV and informed Canadians about this new phase of cancer. His feature and voice were not the same as was also reported by all TV and Radio Stations. I saw him and heard him. Who is Chavez and his administration deceiving? He should show himself on TV.
Remember Saddam? It was stated that he had a double or someone who was made to be a double, to look like him.
Until then we see his face on TV or in person, I will not believe that this picture is the real Chavez. The face looks phoney – unnatural.

Is there any indication of “rejoicing” in the comment that Really makes? This individual is just stating the obvious.
