Northern District Toastmasters elect new executive

The Northern District Toastmasters Club, a nonprofit organization in the Town of Portsmouth has just concluded its second year of existence. The Club recently elected a new executive committee to oversee its affairs for the next Toastmaster year.

The newly elected President Toastmaster Carlyn Rolle, has promised to inject new life into the club and together with the other members of the executive has undertaken the task of bringing back lagging members and adding new blood to the ranks of the NDTC.

One of the tasks that the new executive committee has set itself is to publicize the Toastmaster movement in the town of Portsmouth and its environs. That drive will include tapping into the corporate entities in the town and spreading the Toastmaster message to the schools in the area. The ultimate goal would be to spearhead the formation of at least one corporate club in Portsmouth.

The newly installed executive members for the period July 2017 to June 2018 are as follows:

President: Carlyn Rolle
Vice President Education: Kalisha Aaron
Vice President Membership: Marcia Baptiste
Vice President Public Relations: Phillip Joseph
Secretary: Antonia Aaron
Treasurer: Hilary Joseph
Sergeant at Arms: Marva Baptiste

The Northern District Toastmasters Club meets regularly every 2nd and 4th Thursdays from 6:30pm at the Portsmouth Cooperative Credit Hall, Bay Street, Portsmouth. For more information about the event and club, please visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/NorthernDistrictToastmastersClub
