This is sad. She was young.
My heartfelt sympathy to her family. May her soul rest in peace. Amen! Lord, have mercy!
She may have had a medical problem. Did she receive proper nourishment for herself and her baby?
Who knows? The baby could have died in her womb and she was not aware of it which later affected her.
Did she visit a doctor/health nurse during her pregnancy?
Should these deaths have occurred (mother and baby) if she had received proper health care and nourishment?
I hope she was not physically abused when pregnant.
So many questions to be asked in order to conclude the cause of their deaths.
Police I hope you conduct a proper investigation.

Some people become pregnant without realizing that they may have a medical problem. It would be wise prior to becoming pregnant they should have a medical examination. In most cases this is reserved for married people.
Of course, we know the reason why some, if single never did that. No need to elaborate. Let every adult utilize their common sense. :)

Why do some of you keep blaming the government and/or politicians? Stop blaming them!
Adults should be responsible people and should take care of themselves. Furthermore, you do not know what caused the mother and baby’s death.

It is so, so, sad to hear such tragedy, it’s a date we have with our maker so that’s why those of us behind should always be at peace with our maker
Our Health system in D/ca. needs to be augmented and open all health centres and Hispitals stop closing them

Let’s face it. Is there one person who is truly ready to meet their Maker? Is there one perfect person?
Let me further inform you. No one dies in perfection as much as some like to project that they are perfect and more so than others. God knows better.
      Quiz yourself in various ways.
Examine yourself to see whether you are living in genuine faith and love, for God and for others and are truly ready to meet Him for your judgment..

What a sad news. may she and her unborn baby RIP. MY sympathy to the family.

  9. A pregnant woman obviously not well was out on the street alone at 8:30 A.M.

We cannot judge because there may have been a reason for this. But the lady was at risk. It is a time when
it is best to have a friend or loved one close at hand.

I cannot speak to the issue of taking her first to be stabilized before going on to the hospital. It is hard to know that something should have been done in a particular situation because it is the usual procedure without knowing all the circumstances.

Our sympathies and prayers go out to all concerned.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

That’s why Dominicans will never learn. At all times we must start with primary health care (the health center) move up to the secondary healthcare (the hospital) .but besides that it was reported that the body was transported to the health center where it was official pronounced dead that means the young lady sad to say was already dead.

An emergency should not have to go to St Joe first before going to the PMH. ITs an emergency for Christ sake,

Doesn’t the patient need to be stabilized 1st? Seek closest medical facility and then go to PMH? Just asking

You have a point…unless they thought maybe they could stabilize her first before she continue the journey. But knowing how Dominica health care system set up, what could they have done in the health center anyways

The patient should be taken to the nearest health facility for evaluation if the trouble is serious you take the person to the hospital.

You made me laugh. The baby’s soul is surely resting in heavenly peace – no sins – an angel in Heaven.
We hope the mother’s soul is resting in peace.
Some of you do not believe in Purgatory. Well, we hope this is where her soul is.
Read about Purgatory. I have much to share with you.
The Mother of God, the Ever Blessed Virgin Mary said to an authentic visionary: “Today, few souls go (directly) to Heaven. The second number goes to Purgatory and the third number to Hell.”
When those souls make atonement to pacify God that they are cleansed and ready to see and meet His Holy and Pure Face, to be in his presence, they will ascend to Heaven. It will depend on their frailties on earth but that God forgave them. This is a message for us all.
The word “Purgatory” is not in the Holy Bible just as Hell. Some so-called leaders have missed it or ignored it. Some took out certain chapters/passages of the Holy Bible which is why they have their own interpretation.

The autopsy will reveal the cause of their deaths.

Because the life of the unborn child is valued more than the life of the mother?? If any emergency intervention had been possible, surely the life of the 20 year old woman should be prioritised above the foetus’!!
