Over 800 children of the Roseau South Constituency have benefited from a series of Christmas parties on Sunday made possible by the United Workers Party (UWP) Roseau South Association headed by MP Joshua Francis on Sunday.

The parties which started from 3:00 pm were held at the Roseau Primary School grounds in Bath Estate, at the Harlem Plaza in Newtown, the Loubiere Resource Centre and Eggleston Heritage Site.

The children were treated to toys, eats, drinks and games and a number of competitions, such as singing, were held.

Francis told Dominica News Online that the annual activity caters for all children, particularly the less fortunate in the constituency.

“Christmas time is a time for the children to appreciate and realize that it’s a time to feel the love and the warmth of the people around them, particularly those children whose parents who are not in a position to buy gifts for their children,” he said. “The purpose of the party is to ensure that these children get at least one gift so they can feel that sense of belonging.”

He indicated that as the parliamentary representative he aims to promote unity.

“As parliamentary representative I promote unity, I promote togetherness, I promote warmness and what better place to start other than with the children,” he noted.

He thanked all those who made the parties possible, including private businesses that provided financial contributions and those living in the diaspora who donated gifts.

This is very commendable. Good for the children.

I also heard there was a three day Wonderland Theme in the Botanical Gardens. That must have been fun for children and parents alike. DNO where are the pictures? We would have loved to see them. Or did I missed that news item. I heard it on the radio and it sounded really exciting. Some pictures would be nice to see. Even some of the children from this party could have gone to Wonderland.

I am happy for all the Christmas Parties taking place around the island, shows us although Tropical Storm Erika did havoc on our country. The people realize it was an act of God and even if Mother Nature blew heavily on us. God helps us pick up the pieces and carry on.

God is God All the time and All the time God is good.

Well done honourable Joshua. You deserve the title HONOURABLE! From the time this young man entered into the political ring Rosesu South has undergone a complete transformstion. After being abandoned for 20years, it had to take honourable Fra.cis to resuscitate Roseau South. His work cannot be compared to that of the clowns in the DLP, who are happy that their constituents are SUCEYING SEL….This day when you stop si
supporting this WICKED,EVIL and SATANIC beings and members of the DLP,should be the brightest day in your life.GOOD AND EV CANNOT COEXIST!!!

Mr. Francis, Sir, I admire your words above, quite affectionately! That is a true sentiment of a person who is called to be the Leader of Society –I wish that there were more like you in Dominica

Please hold on to your words Sir–words are very powerful, but especially for the good ones. There is no law against goodness, no matter how man tries to undo that truth. The good things which you speak for will come to pass.

Just be faithful, hopeful, trustful, humble, and obedience– all of these are the Divine laws of goodness–the basic principles of Life in LOVE and God is Love, He is the Life in us, when we are connected to Him.

This is so commendable, it almost brings tears to my eyes! I must say that I RESPECT this initiative by the United Workers Party and by the Honourable Joshua Francis…of Roseau South. You’ve made a difference this Christmas to so many! God bless each and every one of you. Have a blessed and merry Christmas and a most successful and prosperous New Year. (I wonder if my dear Supreme Leader will do the same for the little ones in Vielle Case in the next few days instead of bringing the Baroness to tell Dominicans to go suck salt for their Christmas)?

You are among those people who are very dangerous in society, because people like maintain a very weak substance. I am saying that if it had come to the call of investment, I would have invested in you, today I would have lost my investment.

If just a few words of disapproval can see so easily change your mind from what you believed, this shows that you have no standard substance, motivating what you stand for–you have no kind of strength whatsoever–your knew thumbs rating is just as empty as your knew strength.

But I wish you good luck

Why wonder? Be responsible and mature, make a call and find out. But I am sure when you find out that he already did you will have something negative to add anyway
