The Rotaract Club of Roseau on Thursday, September 16, 2010 began activities for the observance of it 25th anniversary with a wine tasting event.

The wine-tasting event was organized by the professional and finance committees of the Rotaract Club of Roseau and facilitated by Mr. Yvor Nassief of Archipelago Trading.

“While there is a need to do the all important community service there is also a need to develop the professional aspect of our members and the general public,” said professional director Brenton Henry in remarks to a large audience at the wine tasting.

The wine-tasting event saw eight fine wines being tasted by patrons. The session included the history of wines, wine geography, wine appreciation and recognition.

“You do not need to be intimidated by wines,” Nassief told patrons.

Participants gave the event a high rating and expressed the wish to see other similar events in the future.

Activities for the Rotaract Club anniversary will continue throughout the year and will culminate with the hosting of the Regional Rotaract Conference next year.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! It’s refreshing to know that social clubs like the ROTARACT are continuing doing well despite the many challenges that membership may face individually. May God continue to bless you as you continue your mission to foster change and promote leadership among your memberships and those persons with whom you make contact.
