Businessman Robert Tonge is to be installed as president of the Rotary Club of Roseau in a ceremony on Thursday evening.
He replaces outgoing president Marvlyn Bermingham.
The installation and oath of office to the New President will be administered by Rotary Assistant Governor, Monsignor Reggie Lafluer, while the oath to the other members will be done by the out-going President.
The other members of the new board to be installed are Adler Hamlet – Vice President, Annie Edwards – Secretary, Clyde Edwards – Treasurer, Marvlyn Bermingham – Immediate Past President and Marie-Jose’ Edwards – President Elect. Sergeant-at-arms is Nigel Shillingford
Committee Chairmen for the new year 2013-14 are Rotarian Armour Johnson – Service Projects, Past President Auriel Roberts – New Generation, Past President Gloria Tarvenier – Rotary Foundation, Past President Haynes Jacob – Membership, President-elect Marie Jose’ Edwards – Public Relations and Rotarian Grayson J Steadman Jr. – Club Administration Chair.
At the ceremony, addresses will be delivered by the outgoing and incoming presidents.
The feature address will be delivered by General Manager of the National Bank of Dominica Mr. Michael Bird.
The installation ceremony will be attended by Rotarians, Rotaractors, Partners in Service and friends of Rotary.
The ceremony begins at 6:30PM at the Fort Young Hotel.
