The spirit of Christmas touches San Sauveur

The management and staff of the National Bank of Dominica Ltd. (NBD) spent their Sunday afternoon celebrating Christmas with the students and teachers of the San Sauveur Primary School.

NBD’s Santa brought gifts for the children and the bank made a donation of agricultural tools to the school.

With lots of joy to share, NBD staff served snacks and drinks and joined the children in a variety of games.  The staff also identified three families to extend the blessings of Christmas to.  The contributions to these families were made by the NBD staff and included groceries and school supplies.

“Our staff was excited about getting involved.  The true spirit of Christmas is about sharing joy and love.  It is about giving gifts or even your time to let others know you care.   We visit a different school each year and we decided to bring this spirit to San Sauveur in 2011.  We also wanted to touch families in the village because we felt it was important to extend our love into the community and help them have a joyous Christmas,” stated NBD’s Assistant Manager-Customer Relation and Service Quality and President of the NBD Staff Club, Maureen Lander-White.

The NBD staff encourages others to continue to share this spirit of Christmas at this time and throughout the year.

It gives me such a good feeling that San Sauveur has finally gotten a “state of the art school”. Now to be chosen by NDB for recognition! This is awsome! May God bless NDB and all the families of the san Sauveur school district. happy new year to all.
