Three Dominicans are presently missing at sea, the police have said.
Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Acting Superintendent, Claude Weekes, told DNO on Tuesday that Yannick Bruno, 26 of Woodford Hill, Jerum Telemacque, 18 of Marigot and Nixon Edward in his early 20’s left for Guadeloupe on Saturday 1st, August 2015 about 4:00 pm and they have not been heard from since.
“They left on a 25 foot fibre glass boat powered by 150 Mercury Optimax Engine,” Weekes said.
He stated the boat’s name is LAUKERN, with registration number JK053STE and is white in colour.
Weekes reported that Bruno, who is also the Captain of the boat, last communication was with his girlfriend at about 10:00 pm the same day he left for Guadeloupe.
“He called somewhere about 10:00 pm informing her that they had encountered engine problem,” he explained.
Weekes also revealed that the boat has only one engine and the police were informed, by Bruno’s father, that the men have life jackets, cells phones and water however, “he wasn’t sure about sufficient food.”
The Dominica Coast Guard and their partners from Martinique are assisting in searching for the men.

Too many of them take chances and are always missing. Fortunately for some they were found safe and sound.
Prior to setting out to sea ensure your boat is well-equipped for the distance and to combat the high seas.
Hope they are safe and will be found soon.
Jesus help them!
i hope that they will be found safe and alive.

praying and hoping that they are safe , we just need to pray for them and their families especially my cousin Nixon Edwards
I’ll leave that one alone. May God keep them safe, and the”. White boat, with only one 15th motor is found. Serious! !!!
Young Dominicans are putting their life at risk for quick money causing serious pain and suffering to their love ones.

The US Navy Helicopter now in Dominica, should be able to assist the coast guard. Lord help them in locating those men.
I feel badly for these guys, but for this very reason, I refuse to go on the open ocean in a single engine boat.
I was in the Dominican Republic on vacation and we had to go to a small offshore island, not too far from the mainland, and I insisted on a twin engine boat.
Oh God please keep these guys safe until they’re found!
Praying.
Thank god they got found
