Tropical Depression Seven formed Saturday south of the Republic of Cabo Verde in the far eastern Atlantic Ocean.
The depression is expected to strengthen to a tropical storm sometime this weekend.
The next named storm in the Atlantic basin is “Grace”.
The depression is moving west at about 15 mph.
With an environment of wind shear and some dry air ahead, it seems likely this system will weaken, or perhaps even become a remnant low before reaching the Lesser Antilles late in the week ahead.
Grace is a nice name. I hope it weakens for the sake of all countries.
Lord we need grace, not “Grace”
Grace will have mercy on us Dominicans
