A Tropical Storm Watch for Dominica has been discontinued.
According to the latest advisory from the Met office, at 11am, reconnaissance data indicated that Tropical Depression Seven had degenerated into a Tropical wave. The remnants of Tropical Depression Seven were located near Latitude 13.3 North, Longitude 58.9West or about 200 miles southeast of Dominica moving westward at 25mph.
The Tropical wave is forecast to move westward across the Lesser Antilles and the Caribbean Sea over the next couple of days.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35mph with higher gusts mainly in squalls.
However, the Met office release stated that interest in the Windward Islands should still monitor the progress of this system.
Residents are asked to note that although the WATCHES have been discontinued, gusty winds and moderate showers are still possible in squalls across the Windward Islands later today and tonight.
Residents should move around with caution.
