Tropical storm watch issued for Dominica

Position and possible track of depression

A Tropical Storm Watch has been issued for Dominica and portions of the Lesser Antilles.

A Tropical Storm Watch means that Tropical Storm conditions are POSSIBLE within the WATCH area, in this case 24 to 48 hours.

At 5:00 PM the center of Tropical Depression SEVEN was located near Latitude 13.7 North…Longitude 51.9 West or about 630 miles east south-east of Dominica. The depression is moving toward the west near 24 MPH and this general motion is expected to continue through Sunday.

On the forecast track, the center of the cyclone will be near the central Lesser Antilles on Saturday. Maximum sustained winds remain near 35 MPH with higher gusts. Some strengthening is possible over the next day or so and the depression could become a tropical storm before reaching the Lesser Antilles.

Regardless of development, this system has the potential to generate significant showers, scattered thunderstorms and gusty winds across Dominica.

Residents should continue to monitor the progress of the system and should you have to move around do so with caution.

My mother is afraid of hurricane, lightening and thunder. i would like the government to protect the people by letting them know where the safety shelters are all over Dominica. Remember David, that time I was pregnant and slept on a piece of cardboard like a refugee downstairs of Flora Goodrige house in River Street. Lord protect our island Dominica and all its people in it.

How many times do they have to inform them of hurricane shelters and give them notices to be prepared for hurrincanes and other storms. Some of you just stay where you are and rant senselessly. There have been programs on air from last December warning people, and from May these programs were intensified in both languages English and Creole

Get ready a stitching time saves lives. Tell the people what to do and what not to do when these weather conditions are about to hit our shores. /sometimes no matter how many times we warn persons some still forget.

send the hurricane to wash away the evil from this land, to bring new light an new beginning to this lovely country who have fall away from god…. and just to show how Dominicans don’t have no respect when ever someone post a comment and the word GOD is mentioned this comment is being hated the most and its clear to see we Dominicans have no fear for the master of the heavens and earth… is only in time off storms and bad when we hypocrites Christians on this land tend to pray and ask god to watch ova us….

You cannot pray for bad things to happen and call God name. he allow bad things to happen but he does not send them the devil is the author of all evil.

But God does send raft on people for in the days of the bible in times of Noah when he set the flood because the people were evil and burning Sodom and Gommorah because the people were living sinful and nasty lives… it is possible that he can send a raft on Dominica because Dominicans have changed…They have become greedy and selfish…Living dirty lives, lying..gossiping, stealing , jealousy etc

        @ genesis

‘Good deeds’ is correct and did not wish for evil on nationals but ‘to wash away the evil’ that exists in DA. God knows there is a lot of that. As an example, consider the Court cases and other problems in DA. You have not thoroughly read the comment and also misconstrued it. If you refer to yourself as Genesis, ‘from the beginning…’, read it again and ask God for enlightenment.

You are a very SICK individual! Using GOD name to justify your twisted mentality and talking about hated comment. Who you expect to support you and your warped mentality. Calling for a disaster under the guise of Christianity, can’t you see something is wrong with you and if this is what your belief is about? Forces of Nature are just that however DOMINICA and it’s people will be shielded because sickos like you don’t have the moral or spiritual authority to cast one negative wave in her direction. Get help before you futher implode

He causes the rain to fall on the just and the unjust. In times past he did removed the good ones from among the bad before retribution (Noah, Lot etc). I have not heard of any such separation for Dominica. What does this say? Her who is without sin cast the first stone
