Tropical wave affecting Dominica

Location of wave on Wednesday

The Dominica Met Office is warning residents in areas prone to flooding, landslide and falling rock to exercise caution as a tropical wave is affecting weather on the island.

The wave is located near the Lesser Antilles and is moving westward at 28 kilometers per hour.

The wave is expected to result in an increase in cloudiness with showers and possible isolated thunderstorms across Dominica and the region during the next 12 to 24 hours.

Dominica News Online will monitor this weather phenomena and will publish information as it becomes available.

langsal, there is time to dance, a time to cry, a time to mourn, a time to be serious, a time to joke and a time to celebrate. There is a time for everything.
So it is the time for the Bense, Calibishie and Possie people to re unite and celebrate life. Leave them people alone. They have a lives and they are all coming home to dump $1000’s of $$$ into the local economy.

Good job DNO and the MET Office – for giving us a thumbs up however lets capture some more details for example the effective dates – I am now reading this is 12-24 hours from today or was it from the time posted or was yesterday – we need some more detail in the forecast. what is the potential for further development in fact I would recommend going forward that DNO collaborates a little more with the MET Office to put out more of that kind of information.

    Great job guys.

@tactical, agreed, the report could have read something like this – (on July 4, 2012 at 7:45 AM the wave was located near the Lesser Antilles and is moving westward at 28 kilometers per hour)
