The Dominica Meteorological Service is advising residents in areas prone to flooding, land/mudslide and falling rocks to be vigilant as moisture and instability associated with a trough system will continue to affect the island.
A trough is an elongated area of low atmospheric pressure normally associated with inclement weather.
The system is expected to create cloudiness, showers and possible isolated thunderstorms during the next 24 to 48 hours, the Met Office said.
Moderate sea conditions are expected during the next 12 to 24 hours with swells peaking near 7.0 feet with a slight increase to 8.0 feet anticipated over the weekend, according to the Met Office.
Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
