The Prime Minister was addressing a relief concert in Barbados

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit has said the effects of Tropical Storm Erika on the island “not all bad” because it brought Dominica and the people of the Caribbean together as one.

He said at the “One Caribbean: The Concert for the Children of Dominica” on Sunday night in Barbados that this unity must be built on.

“Tropical Storm Erika ladies and gentlemen was not all bad,” he stated. “It brought us in Dominica closer together and it has brought the people of the Caribbean together as one. We must build on this unity, my dear brothers and sisters. We must live regional unity and corporation each and every single day.”

He expressed his gratitude to all those who contributed to the country’s recovery efforts after Erika.

“Tonight on behalf of Dominicans living at home and abroad in the diaspora, I say to the people of Barbados and our visiting friends from across the region, thank you ever so much for your kindness and love and concern, thank you for stepping forward and up to the plate,” he said.

Despite the assistance, Skerrit admits that the road to recovery will be a hard one for Dominica.

“It will be a long hard road to recovery but our people are determined, they know and appreciate your love and concern, they value your contributions. Together, ladies and gentlemen, I am confident that we will rebuild our country Dominica. We will do this,” he remarked.

Skerrit remarked of important note, the region will show the world that they are their brother’s keeper, “that we are one Caribbean.”

All you UWPITES and Lennox can do is Huff and Puff. We Love our PM and we have his Back. It frustrates you ALL to see he is not bothered by what you HATERS say or do. For a shirt the PM wearing you ALL have all those negative things to say about him? You people are insane.

While we thank the Bajans and all our regional brothers and sisters for their support in the aftermath of Tropical Storm Erika, I believe that we ought to be doing more to help our selves back in Dominica… It is one thing to suggest that the storm has brought us closer but it is another to hers the back and forth coming from both sides of the political divide and the kind of negative comments coming from some big men’s mouths like “We do not want your ration, but we will take cash money”. Also the cancellation of key economic activities like the World Creole Music Festival, another great opportunity to not also bring the Caribbean closer but generate critical revenue for the private sector has been cancelled, does that show any concern for any interest in returning the country to business or letting continue on the path of begging for help rather than attempting to help our selves like they now doing in the Bahamas http://www.bahamas.com.

Even a shirt the PM WEARING, you HATERS don’t even know if it was not a gift, you UWPITES and Lennox jealous of? When Lennox had gone to Parliament with his bow tie and tuxedo did you ALL find out the price of his tuxedo? or his expenses in Las Vegas most expensive gambling casino?

    • Francisco Telemaque
      October 7, 2015

Idiot, one can buy a tuxedo here for less than two hundred dollars, people really own tuxedo, because they are rented. If I need to go to wedding or party, all I have to do is go to a tuxedo shop and get fitted, people even rent wedding gowns also! Why don’t you hang yourself you will not die!

You are a stupid bastard, just talking crap, who the hell has time to jealous or hate Skerrit. Skerrit might be looking over his shoulder right now in fear that someone in Dominica might get serious and investigate him!

Have you ever thought of that?

Unity great concept but flawed in DA. The PM should put more effort in assuring that all the items shipped from all the contributors abroad get to the people who need it. There should be a concerted effort to let the donors know what happened to all those containers of dry goods that were shipped to Dominica. The Dominicans in SE Florida shipped 5 full 40 foot containers, addressed to the Cabinet Secretary, Government of Dominica, we would like to know what happened to them.

By the way, I am yet to heat the opposition emphasize the need for term limits as there needs to be term limits. After all, that’s the main reason to focus so much on this guy that we say is not performing. Ask ourselves, does he and those after him need to be there as long as Eugenia did? Propose concrete measures that all will benifit from and stop pettie talk because he made somebody mad in and out of court.

Collette, remember when he took Peters, and many of his cabalists, so called the great minds of Dominica to Singapore and around the Orient claiming he was going to look for investors to come to Dominica?

Well, well, somebody in Singapore gave him that shirt so that he could blend among the Singaporean’s! I got that Mountain Chicken Crapo, Mentality: Me Almost Nearly Cousin Skerrit pegged. He cannot escape me eh!

All blowing in the wind hogwash, the rain did not stop long enough, before you and your party had your acolytes dressed up in red and taken for a ride in helicopters over the island.

If we were together as you claimed, how come you did not invite some Blue, and Green color supporters to join in the excursion over the island.

Knowing that you gave Lennox Linton a telephone number which you claimed he could reach you anytime, when in fact you know you lied: If we are so together tell us what happened when he dialed the number you gave to him in your presence. Guy you like to talk about God, but you had better be very careful because God is not mocked!

Finally, if we are so much together, what are you going to do about the law suit your and your cabal has pending against Lennox, and Lugay? Be a man for once in your life and answer these intriguing questions honestly! We do not want any Mountain Chicken Crapo Mentality answer!

“It brought us in Dominica closer together and it has brought the people of the Caribbean together as one.”<<<<<News Article

Prime Minister, Sir, since you have the majority of Dominicans on your side–the records say–therefore you know what are saying in that statement above, and I believe you.

A speaker at my former church once said: "When God starts with us He starts with a difficulty". Yes; I know this experience in my own Life.

I will not say that God simply started with us, through TSErika–but what most people cannot understand is that when God is in our Life–it is not going to be a kind of daily feasting, especially if we are not abiding by His Ways. And that seemed to very clear, pertaining to our attitude and conduct in Dominica and of the whole of the Caribbean.

Therefore Storm Erika was God touch to cause us to wake up from our sleep of darkness of disunity–the actions and your own words speaks loudly of that "Truth" –God's Will be done!

Elizabeth, I am now beginning to believe you and Facts, Fact, Kid on Block might be one of the same: Now I know Facts, Fact, and Kid on block are one of the same, but since I know you personally, I had a little doubt, but since the triple, or quadruple mentality appears tome the same, I have to suggest that you all are one of the same.

If I know how Skerrit’s mind operate, as well as I think I do; when Skerrit read your ignorant comments, the man dances around and shouts “I have them twist around my small finger”

You and Facts, and all the other fictitious names you use has failed to see that Skerrit’s incompetence has caused Dominica to be bankrupt! Are you idiots prepared to support that Mountain Chicken Crapo Mentality who has ruined Dominica: and caused the country to be bankrupt!

Where are your conscience? Could it be the Canadian Welfare Check has blind you to the damage Skerrit has caused the country? Fools rush in where Angels fear to thread!

      • October 7, 2015

Telemaque, when will you shut up your breathe of stupidity, darkness, and death?.

As I said to you in a previous comment, you are of your own species, there is no one like you in this world–neither would anyone want to be like you, just look at your comment rating on this news board, that should speak loudly about your alienation to us, human beings.

You just do not belong with the species of human beings–it is not wonder that, that brain of yours, whatever it is, causes you to see your counterparts–those strange creatures that you said you see all over the place, through your daily walks..

Please stop talking about me as if you are my father, to this audience. Whatever you are; you do not know me at all–you live in Los Angeles and I live in Toronto; 4 hours of a visit does make a person know the other, but to this and ahead, I will always regret that I allowed this to happen–you do not belong in friendship with no human being.

      • October 7, 2015

And in Jesus name I rebuke the things which your saying about me. God has said “vengeance” is Mine, I will repay” and for my sake, He will execute that vengeance against you–You will regret your ways–your time is coming!

I have profound hearing disability, which makes me eligible for Government support–even if they have helped me to correct that disability–so that I can function like any normal person, but I worked for 30 plus years to qualify for that support.

You think that I forget you told me that you are receiving Government money for having diabetes? I did not ask you to reveal that fact to me.

And so, apart from being a liar, a plagiarizer, and a Great Phony, always boasting about education, which you do not have, you are also a Great Cheater against the California Government–I did not say it; you told me.

You have no human etiquette, no human class in you. You do not know how, when, and where to speak to and about people–you are not human!

Elizabeth, I did not tell you I see creatures everyday; tell the story as I told you. I told you on my return from Canada, on more than one occasion whiles traveling on I-40 (Interstate 40), I saw something overhead, and another time along side me while traveling at about 130 miles per hour!

Fortunately, I was not alone, I was traveling with my nurse who saw everything I saw. If I was alone I might believe I was crazy okay, so you are not giving me any words: If I did not tell you; you would not know about it, therefore you would not be in a position to talk right now.

You can’t be trusted with a secrete, that is why I dropped you like a hot potato eh! Same thing you did, You are the only one I told the name of my, you talk so much you went on DNO and disclosed name, when will you learn to keep whatever some say to you in confidence, you are the most dangerous specimen alive, and remember I taught you that word! Anyway I doh going to say what we saw, You might soon talk!

      • Francisco Telemaque
        October 8, 2015

“You are the only one I told the name of my, you talk so”

That should read, “you are the only one I told the name of my book, and you went on DNO and disclosed it.

Now as this getting government money because I have diabetes you lie you know! What I told you is that I got sick and could not work for a long time, hence I ended up on welfare: Hahahahahahaha; you think you shame me, I paid into the social security, and disability system, therefore I was entitled to the welfare check! The good thing is once I recuperated from my illness I went back to work.

Lucky me; I retired at age 47, and invested in My Real Estate business, from which I am living a lucrative life, whereas you will forever be a recipient of your Canadian welfare check! You see what you get for telling I got government money! If you were not an idiot, you would realize anybody living in America, or Canada, will at least once in their life become a recipient of welfare. Proven statics!

  23. The Real Facts
    October 6, 2015

TS Erika did bring some people together, especially, those who were affected by this storm and those who helped them, in Dominica and overseas.
This is why the PM traveled to Barbados to thank those who helped Dominica in its time of need. This thanks is also meant for others in the Caribbean and elsewhere.
Wherever we reside, disasters have a way of bringing people together. People become friendly; they begin to talk to each other and help each other.
If some people do not comprehend what the PM stated, they are lacking in comprehension. In this case, I would think disasters are not without reason, as God meant them to be.
When hurricane David struck, there was no food until some was sent to D/ca and some relatives who resided abroad brought necessities. My father told me, this disaster made people as one since they all had to line up for food and other necessities, the rich, middle class and poor. If this is also not bringing people together, what is?

Facts, because I know you and kid on block are one of the same, so I will not waste my precious time to respond to kid on block: however, if i am sorrowful, how can a sorrowful man contribute to anything in Dominica, when I know that the ministers of government has already commenced stealing the donated money?

Where is our US$10,000.00 dollars? Is it in Baron’s pocket, or Skerrit’s pocket, or have they shared it among the cabalists? That is what you should be worried about, I could not jealous or hat Skerrit for anything he has when I do not know where and how he manage to get his ting eh!

me mama taught me never to envy anybody for what they have , because I will never know if they thief it. All I know is I worked for whatever I own, or what God entrusted into my hands!

      • October 9, 2015

        Another set of shameful excuses!

When will you ever acknowledge that you have nothing and you cannot afford to do nothing, so stop with all of that lying–God knows how much you are guilty; you cannot hide from Him.

Since 4 years ago you are on DNO and another forum speaking all my personal things to strangers–you insist on mentioning my name with your nastiness–even if I used a blog name. I must be special, the reason you want people to know that you know me for even a small bit.

Now you are claiming not trusting me, because I started to do the same thing to you. And I will continue, if you will not leave me alone.

Who cares about your dirty book–the way you write, nothing will ever come out it; your talks about “nurse” is another bluff; and you know what I mean.

Dropping me you say! Whatever you are, you never had me; and you are never going to, that is the reason for your feud against me–it is now time to admit that you have been defeated!
