Venezuela condemns attack on US Consulate in Libya

Ambassador Chris Stevens was killed in the Benghazi attack

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has strongly condemned what is described as a “terrorist attack” against the Consulate of the United States in the Libyan city of Benghazi which caused the death of a US Ambassador.

Chris Stevens and others in the diplomatic corps were killed when the US embassy in Benghazi was attacked on September 11, 2012.

In a written statement the Venezuelan government said it “manifests its repudiation of this act of aggression, which violated the territorial sovereignty of the United States and the immunity that protects all diplomatic missions.”

“The government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela recalls that on August 23, 2011, the Residence of the Ambassador of Venezuela in Libya was the object of a brutal assault by violent groups during NATO’s war against Libya, an event that was condemned by numerous countries and international institutions but about which Western powers remained silent,” the statement said.

The statement also said the Venezuelan government is of “the conviction that the state of commotion that reigns today in Libya is a product of the colonialist policy of aggression, interference and hate sown by NATO countries that has destabilized and engendered violence and terrorism in this region of the world. For that reason, at the same time that we condemn and repudiate this attack, we call for an end to the interventionism and hate against the Arab and Muslim people.”

The attack on the embassy and the killing of Stevens have drawnn condemnation from around the world.

Venezuela’s condemnation is a hollow and transparent expression of hypocracy in trying to besmirch the western nations which turned a blind eye to a similar attack on the Venezuelan embassy. Does Chavez’s government think the world would praise him for this pretensious hot air?

When Obama became president he met Hosni Mubarak as president of Egypt.Mubarak had no problems with the U.S.He was a friend of the U.S.A. Same thing with Gaddafi in Libya.Yes many years ago he was playing bad but since after Reagan missed him with a bomb and Bush after 9.11 made it abundantly clear ”
If you are not with us you are against us.”

Give Jack his Jacket Gaddafi had no quarrel with The U.S.But here comes Obama with no leadership experience, pulled the rug under their feet

It’s the same America which trained terrorists such as Osama Bin Laden who later came back to commit the single biggest terrosrsit act on American soil. Now they forcibly got rid of Gaddaffi and many of you idiots who commented on this a year ago who jumping in elation. Look what is happening to them now with the same people who they helped get rid of gadaffi.History keeps repeating itself over and over again yet these folks never seem to learn not to meddle in other peoples affairs!!!!

Christians are civilized? That’s why the white christians placed your race into slavery right? That’s because your inferior to them. Christians are civilized yet here we have a woman who killed two children in cold blood and allowed to escape scott free. Christians are so descent that they even allow priest to rape little boys and then turn around to pay off families to keep quiet. Christians are so civilized that at the crusades they murdered innocent people all because some good old book influenced them to do so. As long as we do what we think is right we’re civilized right? You people…smh
