Dominica Nurses Association celebrates 54 years

The Dominica Nurses Association celebrates its 54th anniversary on August 22, 2011.

The association recognizes this milestone with two days of events.

On Sunday August 21, members joined Pastor Desbonnes and his congretation at the Grand Bay Good News Baptiste church for service from 11 am.

This was followed by a rounders match with the Grand Bay men’s rounders team at the Grand Bay Playing field from 2pm.

The celebration will culminate with a symposium at the Garraway on Monday August 22, 2011 from 8:30 am – 1 pm under the theme “Embracing ethics over privilege.”

Featured speaker is Dr.Valda Henry of VF Inc who will focus on “Ethics in the workplace’.

The Dominica Nurses Association is a non-profit, professional organization that seeks to work with the Government of Dominica and other authorities  to provide the best possible type of health care in the realm of nursing.

The association caters for the educational needs, professional development,and cultural improvements of its members and delivery of public education.
