World AIDS Day is an opportunity to bring people together to raise awareness about HIV and the Dominica Red Cross is organising an ‘Awareness Day’ under the theme ‘Saving Lives, Changing Minds’.
We are urging you the public, schools and service clubs to attend this activity by doing so you can help raise awareness of HIV and get people talking.
This year, as part of our commitment to increasing public awareness and understanding of HIV, the Dominica Red Cross is hosting WAD 2010 Awareness Day at the Dominica Red Cross National Headquarters, Federation Drive from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
We would like to focus on the human rights theme in line with the profile of the HIV epidemic. We recognise that injecting drug users are not the only marginalised population and therefore we adapt the broad theme of human rights and universal access to advocate for anyone who may be affected by stigma or discrimination, especially women who are disproportionately affected by the HIV epidemic, and including most-at-risk populations such as: Persons Living with HIV, injecting drug user’s, sex workers, prisoners, transgenders and men having sex with men.
There will be a Display Gallery in our Conference Room featuring :-
A new HIV Advocacy Report on Harm Reduction
Club 25 Membership Sign-up
Condom demonstrations – Faces Campaign condom envelopes
I, Pledge forms (and Pins)
Video Presentations
Awareness Facts on HIV/AIDS – Posters, Flyers etc.
Also available:
A ‘Wall Script’ cloth banner hung on HQ’s wall (for persons to write on)

At sunset there will be a Dedication Song, Prayer, Candle Light Moment and Message dedicated to those whom have lost the fight against AIDs.
And yes there are ways to reverse HIV and cancer but it is not put out by the drug companies because they don’t make money if you get well.
I am always agast at these special days for this and that. Don’t people know by now that the HIV virus was a designer biowarfare virus designed to reduce populations through innoculation.
Cancer is also a designer disease. Both of them man-made.
