A health exhibition is underway in Dominica, as activities to commemorate Wellness Month on the island continue.
The exhibition, which is being held on the ground floor of government headquarters, is expected to stretch through Friday.
Organizers say the move is part of a drive by health officials to provide the public with information and practical examples on how to take care of their health.
The main organizer of the event Terri Henry says Dominica’s natural health and wellness services and products are not being exploited.
“We have everything here to be naturally well; unfortunately I don’t think that everybody is taking full benefit of it. That can be seen by the high incident of chronic non communicable diseases,” she said.
September has been designated ‘Health Month’ in Dominica.
