Martial arts demonstrations, aerobics and meditation were among activities which featured at a Health and Wellness Expo here on the weekend.

According to Health and Wellness Consultant Terri Henry, interactive and educational lectures were also delivered at the paid event, where natural health and wellness products and services were on display.

“The health and wellness expo is growing every year, and I think this year is the most successful; it is the first year we charged for entrance also the exhibits,’ Henry said.

The lecturers there included featured speaker Preist Khalash K.Lyons.

The St Lucian-born Dominica-based herbal doctor and proprietor of the Food of Seven Vegan Restaurant’s lecture was based on herbal pharmacy.

The emphasis was on showing how herbs can be utilized to enhance or rectify existing health conditions “or even prevent other conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure.”

The event is in its fourth year in collaboration with the Discover Dominica Authority and headline sponsor J. Astaphan& co.ltd.
