Another bout of free prostate screening is being offered by the Dominica Cancer Society (DCS) with the help of Ross University.
Residents of the northeast are being targeted this time around, after what the DCS describes as a record turnout of men from the north during its last campaign in the town of Portsmouth.
Officials of the cancer society say the response to date is a clear indication that more men are taking the issue of prostate screening seriously.
“The campaign now moves to the Marigot Health District,” the society said in a just released statement.
It is encouraging men of the northeast, especially those over 40, to take advantage of this opportunity on Saturday (23rd June).
According to the Cancer society, more than 240 men have received free exams through this ongoing initiative.
It is reminding men “of their tendency to be very irregular when it comes to their medical care and therefore, by the time a man experiences symptoms and gets checked it can be too late. This initiative again appeals to men to be proactive as far as their prostate health is concerned”.
Where exactly in Marigot will this take place and at what time please?
