LIME provides free blood sugar and pressure checks

In support of the observance of Caribbean Wellness Day in Dominica, LIME’s customers were treated to FREE blood pressure and blood sugar checks at the LIME Mobile Shop in Roseau on Friday.

LIME is the major sponsor of Caribbean Wellness Day activities in Dominica spearheaded by the Ministry of Health through the Health Promotion Resource Center. An official opening ceremony was held at the car park of the Windsor Park Stadium Friday morning which heard remarks from Health Minister Julius Timothy and Mayor of Roseau His Worship Cecil Joseph, among other speakers.

An exhibition and health extravaganza climaxed the day’s activity with Fanatik and other local groups.

General Manager of LIME, Jeffrey Baptiste said: “We believe that if our people are healthy and well, so will be our country by extension, and we are very pleased to support Caribbean Wellness Day.”

He added that LIME will continue to support the Ministry of Health with its plans and initiatives designed to support a healthy and productive nation.

The theme for Friday’s Caribbean Wellness Day observance was ‘Love that body – Feed it Right’.
