Roseau Seventh Day Adventist Church to host health fair

health careThe Roseau Seventh Day Adventist Church Health Department in partnership with the other SDA churches on the island will be hosting a grand health expo on Sunday, September 11 at the Lindo Park Savannah under the theme: A Healthy You. A Better You!

September is Health & Wellness Month and key part of the mission of the SDA church is to promote health and wellbeing. We also recognize that chronic non-communicable disease is a major threat to our productive sector.

Therefore the purpose of the Health Expo is to instruct members of the public on the prevention of and recovery from the effects of chronic non-communicable diseases. This will be facilitated through health seminars, instruction in meal preparation, and other lifestyle interventions. In addition, health checks will be conducted and health advice will be provided by health professionals from across the country. In addition, wholesome and appetizing foods will be displayed and available for consumption.

Furthermore, we plan to make it a family event so there will lots of fun activities for children, which will keep them occupied and active.

For more information, feel free to contact Nurse Priscilla Prevost, the Health Director of the East Caribbean Conference of SDA at 245-6373 or email her at [email protected].

Playboy may I inform you none of us has a sabbath , it’s God’s sabbath. I encourage you to do some research and you will find out who change the Sabbath day from the 7th to the 1st day. Let’s stop playing around Jesus is soon to come . God bless you.

The Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church operates many hospitals and wellness projects world wide. You don’t have to be a SDA and believe all things as they do to wish them well with something that will be a
help to the good people of Dominica.

The medical advice they offer can be trusted because these people have a heart for health care. As more people fall ill because they violate God’s moral code (Romans 1:26,27) (1 Corinthians 6:9,10), and indulge in destructive habits such health fairs increase in value. I hope we see more of them.

Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist. (Assemblies of God)

Kindly read and re-read your bible before making this ridiculous comment. Christ told those like you in His day that it is better to do good on the Sabbath day. And also remember that the Sabbath day is the Lords day, not your own..
