Discover Dominica Authority hosts 3rd Annual Health and Wellness Program

The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) presents the 3rd Annual Health and Wellness Program, May 13th – 15th 2011. This years’ Health and Wellness events span 3 days, showcasing the best of Dominica’s natural healing arts. The program also offers a unique training opportunity for local chefs to develop wellness menus and a specialized cooking class for the public.

PROGRAMME
Friday 13th May: Holistic Wellness for Mind, Body & Spirit
Venue: Anchorage Hotel, Whale Watch & Dive Centre, Castle Comfort

10:00am – 2:00pm: The first ever Caribbean Vegan Culinary Training workshop with Chef  & Bestselling Author Taymer Mason

4:00pm – 5:00pm: Go with the Flow Yoga Class with Charity Joy.
Experience a gentle and holistic yoga class in this prime location next to the sea shore. Stretch and Relax completely into the wholesome weekend ahead.

5:00pm – 7:00pm: Healthy Happy Hour!
This is a Happy Hour with a difference where specially blended health drinks and foods will be available

6:30pm – 8:30pm: Health and Wellness Movie.
Settle down in comfort of the Anchorage Carib Bar and Lounge Bar to be inspired by the movie ‘Crazy Sexy Cancer’ –  the true story of a young woman diagnosed with a rare & terminal cancer who uses a range of natural healing techniques to beat her illness.
