The Government of Dominica and the nation, by extension, is now in a state of mourning following the sudden passing of the Parliamentary Representative for the Grandbay Constituency and Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and Diaspora Relations, with Specific responsibility for Diaspora Relations, Edward Registe.
Through tears, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, who addressed the nation on state-owned DBS Radio this morning said that the death of Registe, who was a strong advocate for the “little man” and also for the stalwart of the Dominica Labour Party (DLP), is “difficult to accept.”
“He had a passion for youth development and people’s development and he gave his entire life to the service of Dominica and the Grand Bay constituency and also to the party,” Skerrit recalled. “Ed was synonymous with the labour party. He was a committed, dedicated and very loyal individual. I can say that Ed was one of my strongest and most reliable allies within the labour party. We could always count on him. He had a passion for what he did.”
He noted that the passing of the former politician was a huge blow to the country and expressed his condolences to the family, the people of Grandbay, party supporters and well-wishers on the death of “a true giant in every sense of the word.”
He went on to state that their friendship spanned over two decades and throughout that period, “it has been very rewarding and fulfilling” being able to rely on Registe.
“It is a void that has been created and a void which will be very difficult to fill,” the Prime Minister lamented. “Eventually, we will have to accept his departure from this earth but for now, it is absolutely difficult to accept.”
According to his mother, who also spoke to DSB, Registe left home for work yesterday morning and some time throughout the day she was informed that he was rushed to the hospital.
She said later that evening, she received a call from her son who complained of feeling unwell but was unsure of the cause.
Mrs. Registe disclosed that sometime after 4: 00 o’clock this morning, she received a call informing her that her son had gone into cardiac arrest and shortly after, the family was informed of his passing.
“It is a very sad situation for us because Ed was the right-hand man in that house for us,” she said. “He was really a very charming man and it’s a sad situation.”
In 2014, Edward Registe was appointed a Dominica Labour Party (DLP) senator and Deputy Speaker of the House of Assembly of Dominica.
He was a former General Secretary of the Dominica Labour Party.
Registe successfully contested the Grand Bay seat for the Dominica Labour Party (DLP) in the 2019 General Election.
He was appointed Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Business and Diaspora Relations, with Specific responsibility for Diaspora Relations in the Roosevelt Skerrit Administration on 17 December 2019.

Jesus’ Body, when He walked the Earth was the Expressed Image of the Father, Almighty God. That was why He told His disciples: “I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; anyone who sees Me has seen the Father”
We were made to have the same body as Jesus–the cage for our soul, our true person, or God’s image of Love in us–male or female for that is the “norm” of God’s creation.
But that body was tarnished by sin, through our first parents and up to today.

But based on my personal knowledge, regarding my son who passed away 4 years ago, there is a Spirit World where “rest in peace has no meaning”. Everyone who leaves their physical body is in the World regardless of the state of their soul.
In other words, some are souls living in the state of Light continuing into the perfection of Love–the Divine Life of God in them and others are souls existing in the state of loss and darkness because of the choice they made while they were in their physical body.
I know because my son visited me every day, for 2 years after he left his body. The fact that he found me. where we once lived together, is my conviction that he is not a lost soul, and the many joyful activities, of music, that he presented to me with his spirit friends is the fact for me, that I will meet him in Paradise with our Lord Jesus.

Condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Registe. Grandbay has lost someone who truly believed in the goodness and abilities of his constituency. That said, we hope that a truthful and transparent autopsy/inquest into this sudden death is presented to the nation. We will not dwell on conspiracies or hearsay, but a loving, hard-working individual such as Mr. Registe was, deserves the truth to be made known.

J.John-Charles I understand what you are saying, but for many who are not spiritually discerned your thought is quite complicated–we do that to those who need to receive knowledge of our God of Love much too often.
First of all, “we all must die” cannot be followed by the term “except”.
And Apostle Paul, at 1st Corinthians 15: 51 says: “Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed” Notice the term “sleep” not die
Verse 52 explains: “in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed”
There is no specification about the Saint as you said. Paul has told us that should Jesus return today, all of us who are in the body, saints or not, we will remain in that body but with a state that cannot suffer physical death as it happens to us now–the physical body returning to its form of dust.
Paul continues at verse 53: “For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality”
So the physical body, which is mortal, must be changed into the state which is immortal to remain the cage for the soul whether in its rebirth or in its state of darkness. And physical death will be defeated once and for all times.
But the mind must be ready to live by the Laws of Love–what is known as transformation–that is the reason for the rebirth of the soul before we leave this groaning tent of ours, or before Jesus returns to find us in it. In other words, Salvation must happen for us before both situations.
Now we can only hope that Mr. Edward Registe left his body with God’s Love in his conscience, to go to the Spirit World, where all the saints are gathered and waiting for the call from Jesus to join Him in the Land of Paradise. where there is a Great Mansion with a room for each one of us.
A very sudden and consequently sobering death for all of us.
I always say that death is always just so sad and untimely, especially when it’s so sudden.

It’s sobering because he left home so ordinarily and never returned. Makes one wonder about life and what should be important ’cause we just never know. Give thanks, Live, Love, Forgive, embrace our differences, be tolerant of each other, share time, enjoy!!
The passing of Ed Registe is really a sudden and sad loss. he was always such a nice person – dedicated in whatever he was doing. I pray his family can draw strength from God’s Words and promises of comfort and sustenance in this time of bereavement.

Ed my neighboresume grew up same neighbor and friend group played together. We went to high school together he was at St Mary’ Academy.
He was quiet and calm. I remember him as an extension officer and the instruction of the pepper production in the Grand Bay area.

I never thought he would serve for too long because he was a close friend of the late Pierre Charles and really had the heart and mind of Puerto. I thought he would be fired soon.
