The St Kitts and Nevis police constable who was shot in the line of duty in June and who died subsequently in hospital in Trinidad and Tobago, is to be given a military style funeral on Tuesday (Aug 9).
The funeral service of Brian Pacquette, a Dominican national, will take place in Roseau.
The Federation’s Police Commissioner, Ian Queeley, has confirmed that he will lead a contingent to the service.
“Brian Pacquette was a very hardworking, dedicated and committed police officer. He would be remembered for the very positive outlook that he would have carried for this organization. His love for the organization, his love for police work is unquestionable.”
St. Paul wrote:
“Render therefore to all their dues: … … … honor to whom honor (is due).”
Dominica showed its high regard for Brian Pacquette by bestowing a full military funeral upon this young
police officer who was slain in the line of duty.
Fellow Officers, Heads of State, and Dignitaries in attendance.
“Honor to whom honor is due.”
It was the right thing to do.
Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.
So why didn’t the Dominica Police Force accept his application?!
So many bad eggs I’m seeing they have in the force now and you mean to tell me a guy like that who was so eager to serve his country was turned away?? smh.
Dominica really upside down and inside out eh…
With his qualifications and experience, they probably could not place him in a suitable position which would commensurate with a proper salary.
Have you heard that employees could be over qualified for the job? I am assuming he would not return to work in Dominica with a lesser salary than he was receiving in St. Kitts.
An answer should be given why he was refused a position in the Dominica Police Force. A man as he could have served the DPF excellently.
