The Caribbean Association of Banks (CAB) wishes to thank the Honourable Sir Dwight Venner for his distinguished service, significant achievements and unstinting commitment to the Eastern Caribbean Currency Union.

After 26 years of service as Governor of the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank, the CAB acknowledges Sir Dwight’s contributions in the areas of Central Banking,
Financial Inclusion, Monetary and International Economics, Public Finance and Economic Development through his work and extensive publications.

Sir Dwight has received several awards from various governments, all of which serve as a testimony to his distinguished and outstanding service to the Eastern
Caribbean Sub-region. Undoubtedly, each award demonstrates statesmanship and the high regard in which he is held in the hearts and minds of the people of
the region.

The CAB is confident that the legacy of Sir Dwight will serve as an inspiration to, not only leaders in the financial services sector but all leaders who are entrusted with the responsibility of fostering the growth and development of our small island states.

The CAB wishes Sir Dwight the very best in his future endeavours.

    Sir Dwight remains an icon in the region. Served with distinction. I applaud his unwavering and sterling contribution to the financial services of the Caribbean. May his retirement be most enjoyable.

      Pondera I was wondering if he was retiring because I could not find anything which suggested that anywhere in the article, but then I noticed that you have made reference to his retirement. Is he really retiring?
