A ‘celebration rally’ has been planned at the Canefield Airport in honor of Prime Minister, Roosevelt Skerrit, who will be returning to Dominica on Tuesday afternoon.
He recently received an Honorary Doctorate from the Lovely Professional University in Punjab, India.
The Prime Minister will be arriving at 3:30 pm to fanfare by the Swinging Stars, according to the program of activities.
He will be received by Justina Charles, Minister for Youth, Sports, Culture and Constituency Empowerment and MP for Grand Bay, and his wife Melissa Skerrit.
He will then meet political colleagues and relatives and will have a private moment with immediate family in the VIP lounge.
Welcome remarks will then be made by Petter Saint Jean, Minister for Education and Human Resource Development and President of the Dominica Labour Party.
A prayer will be offered by Edward Lambert.
Charles and Saint Jean will be giving solidarity messages at the function.
The Prime Minister is also expected to give remarks at the function.
Entertainment will be provided by Hunter, Daddy Chess and Midnight Groovers.

DLP members and supporters decide to celebrate their political leader’s achievements(it does not matter what you as a non -DLP supporter feels about the PM’s achievement; that’s their choice. The same goes for UWP supporters who do not mind paying the courts fees for Lenox Linton’s because they feel he is fighting a Just Cause. Labourites have justification in criticizing the UWP supporters. Again it is a party thing.
If you are UWP, FREEDOM, Neutral or Don’t Care At All. You don’t have to go. I listened to to DBS News it indicated a Labour Party ‘Celebration Rally.” I guess DNO understood that to mean and all political parties, No political party affiliations , neutral, ‘ Don’t Care A D,’ Celebration Rally.” News reporters have to ensure that they relay the correct information instead of inciting sensationalism.
