The three Dominicans who reported missing since August 1st 2015, have been found alive and well.
Police PRO, ASP Claude Weekes, told DNO, that Yannick Bruno, 26 of Woodford Hill, Jerum Telemacque, 18 of Marigot and Nixon Edward were found adrift in the vicinity of Venezuela.
He said they were in good health and will be united with their families later on Thursday.
The men left for Guadeloupe on August 1 at 4:00 pm on a boat named LAUKERN, powered by 150 Mercury Optimax Engine.
Bruno, who was captaining the vessel, made final contact with his girlfriend at approximately 10:00 pm the same day and was not heard after that.
The Dominica Coast Guard and its partners from Martinique assisted in searching for the men.
To God be the glory yes God is good he hears the prayer that his family prayed.,and the mighty God have look over his children, and brought them home safely.
,
From which port nah did they get clearance to go to Guadeloupe. just wondering….wish mr. weeks had mentioned that to us.
The authorities needs to put some hard questions on these men!Left DA at four, called girlfriend at 10pm to report engine problem, this is six hours later,Guadeloupe is between one hour and two hours away given the horsepower engine they had,it’s fishy…!
Please Dominicans do not judge before getting the full story. These Guys were honest guys trying to make an honest living. Please get the full story before judging. When I hear what the guys went through , water came off my eyes.
They were honest soldiers, that’s why the Lord rescued them. Thanks be to the Almighty for bring them home to their love ones, its not easy being on sea LOST.
I’m still happy you guys were found safe
god was watching over them
These guys taking alot of chances with thier lives.
Please be informed that the men were found 125 miles west of Dominica, in the region of Bird Island and not t6he Venezuela mainland.
LOL
Good news. Someone was watching over them.
Wow….they drifted that far??? Omg..thank God they were found alive..
Glad they were found alive, thanks Jah. It seems is dere mister an dem was going man? If so, what dat there they going for? hmm, maybe the canal currents pull de boat.
Thank you Jah the soldiers were found alive and are home now reunited with their families and friends!!! Thank you Jah and thanks to all who said a little prayer for them.
Dem man wasn’t going guada dem partners was on a mission
I puzzled about that myself. Given that the currents turn north from here what were they doing so far west if they drifting without power? I do not think they were either on a fishing trip or an excursion to Guadeloupe either. More likely they missed their rendezvous at sea.
When I heard my comrades had gone missing due to engine problems in the channel between Dominica and Guadeloupe and having had first-hand experience diving in the Caribbean I came to the conclusion that the Current would drift them south and west into the Caribbean sea towards Venezuela, and so it was. Jah bless.
why yall dont shut up. Get your facts straight before commenting. tipical dominican.
I am pleased to know they were found and are well.
They are fortunate that they were found intact. They must have been worried including their family about their safety and returning to D/ca with no harm.
How did they happen to be all the way near Venezuela? I suppose they went off course.
Guys, thank God you are OK!
Thank God! I’m happy for these men and their families.
The “rounders family” are happy you all are safe and sound. Praises to the Most High God.

good to know they are safe and sound .
parise the lord prayer have power
This don’t add up, something is fishy. You left for Guadeloupe at 4pm it on takes 2 hours max to get there. 4 hours later you call and report engine problem. How did you end up under Venezuela? I ran those waters, I’m no fool. You were heading North and you end up south? please? You were on your way to Vincey.
Unkown i myself is a seafarer or (sailor) for a very long time but if you
said that you ran those waters you should not be speaking that crap.I think you need to call yourself Don’t Know instead of Unknown.
thank you lord for saving them. now let them realize that you is lord of their lives, and they should serve you wholeheartedly.
I am happy to hear they found alive Venezuela coast,I would like to ask them while adrift did they drifted near bye bird island which Venezuela claimed to be theirs and just 140 miles north of Dominica and 340 miles west of Venezuela.
You point is fool?
Thanks, there’s safe.
That’s good news!! Happy for them and their families.
