Senior tour guide at Wacky Rollers, Steline Joseph, has been honored by Princess Cruises and named Outstanding Tour Guide for the Season 2012/2013.
Joseph received the award last Friday at a presentation ceremony held on board the M/V Emerald Princess.
It was presented by the ship’s Customer Services Director, Werner Benkenstein, who congratulated Steline on her achievement and thanked her for her excellent service to the ship’s passengers.
Also present at the ceremony were, Peter Hollinson, Hotel General Manager, Roy Kelly, Food & Beverage Manager and Isabel Pires, Shore Excursions Manager, all of the M/V Emerald Princess and Joseph’s family members.
The award came with a cash reward of $100, a letter of commendation; a tour of the ship and lunch on board with her family.
Yannick Xavier, Wacky Rollers Tour Supervisor, said Joseph is an exemplary tour guide.
“Steline is one of our best and exemplary guides, always professional, always looking out for the company, always willing to provide support to other guides. She truly understands the meaning of the word team,” he said. “This award is truly deserved and right on time as Steline celebrates 10 years as a Wacky Rollers Tour Guide. We are extremely proud of her and this recent accomplishment as she is no doubt a valuable asset to the company. Wacky Rollers thanks Princess Cruises for this recognition as it affirms the company’s steadfast commitment to providing quality service to its guests even in the midst of the many challenges it currently faces.”
At that ceremony Wacky Rollers (WRAVE LTD.) was also awarded “High Volume Tour of the Season” and Dive Dominica was recognised with the “Low Volume Tour of the Season” award for the port of Dominica for the 2012/2013 cruise season.
These awards are presented annually and are based on passenger feedback over the season under review.
The tours selected are said to provide the cruise passengers with a ‘positive and memorable experience while improving the overall ratings of the destination’.
