my people Dominica is shaking,in fact the whole region is shaking,u are not being told the truth about what is really happening.a few years ago while working along the first layou river landslide i overheard some qualified people who came to investigate what triggered the slide, saying while looking at their laptop that dominica is shaking and that it will increase a few years from now which may lead to a severe volcanic eruption on the island, but no one has told the people anything, the politicians will tell u that we recieved alot of rain and the soil is heavy with water and that this is what causes the landslides,do not believe this bull….

It is a similar scenario at Antrim. Over the last few weeks there has been an increase in slippage between the road and the river. The repeated use of the heavy vibratory road roller together with tons more tarish, only serves to aggravate the problem.

Various contractors have been doing the same thing over and over for eight years but to no avail.

I raise the alarm, but it falls on deaf ears.

OMG! This may be a major disaster in the making… God forbid. Now we have some major Dredging works to be undertaken as this is within a river valley.
    God help us All.

I would be very concerned about Roseau. Here is why. This looks like a large amount of sediment and if it is on the side that drains in the roseau river it is going to cause a heap of problem. The engineers need to make sure it is not blocking any streams that may form an earthen dam. If it is, i would suggest clearing ASAP. Remember Layou.
The Roseau river bed is already raised to high from recent sediment deposits, all this additional sediments and debris is going to make its way to coast through river transportation and has a strong possibility of causing damage and flooding in Roseau. I would advise the ODM to come up with a plan soon cause nature is going to take its course. Prey we dont have heavy rain any time soon before something is done. A serious assessment needs to be done quickly.
