Independent candidate Karshma ‘Buju’ Richards to focus on improvement of drainage and sports in Roseau Central if elected

Independent candidate for Roseau Central , Karshma ‘Buju’ Richards, said improvement of the drainage system and sports are some of the areas he plans to place focus on if he wins that seat.

Richards will contest against the parliamentary representative of Roseau Central, Melissa Poponne- Skerrit in the December 6th general election.

According to Richards, his reason for contesting is to help develop the capital city of Roseau.

“Some of the things I would like to see or improve in Roseau if I get the chance to be in office is the drainage of Roseau,” he said. “Roseau floods too easily when it rains, especially on the side closer to the waterfront.”

Other areas in Roseau he mentioned that are prone to flooding are in the vicinity of  A.C Shillingford Supermarket and FLOW.

“That can be something that can be solved easily through improving the drainage system of Roseau as our capital,” Richards stated.

Furthermore, he stated that one of the things the constituents of Roseau seem to be complaining about is infestation of rats.

“And I would like to see a program put into place such as the widespread distribution of rat poison to the citizens of Roseau so they can tackle the rat problem collectively,” Richards noted.

Richards believes that focus should be placed on the preservation of the historic centre in Roseau.

“I see in Roseau, at the present moment, the destruction of a lot of our historic old buildings [and] I would like to see the preservation of the historic centre of Roseau take center stage especially as we say tourism is everybody’s business,” he stated.

Richards continued, “Our history is all of Dominica’s business, so I would like to see greater emphasis placed on the preservation of our historic buildings and our historic centre in Roseau.”

Meanwhile, he said sporting in Roseau also needs improvement.

“Sports has taken a major hit in Roseau ever since the erection of the stadium,” he remarked. “Our once community playing park of Windsor Park was upgraded to a stadium and sporting access was lost to the children of Roseau.”

He argued that the sporting fields around Roseau haven’t been upgraded.

“So I would like to see improvements on sporting and recreational activities for the children of Roseau,” he noted.

Richards also called for the reintroduction of tennis to the public.

“I want to suggest that we introduce tennis to the people; we develop the former tennis club as a recreational centre introducing tennis, table tennis, hardcourt tennis, other sporting activities that can be housed indoors that the children of Newtown, Roseau North, Roseau South can can all come together and be together,” he suggested.

His main message to the residents of Roseau and Dominicans by extension, “It’s time for us to breach the political gap, forgive our brothers and sisters, come together and develop our country together as Dominican people.”

I hope that Dominicans open their eyes to Mister’s nefarious intentions for Dominica…He exploits the most vulnerable of the nation instead of lifting them up. Misters is after permanent control of Dominica, he cares nothing about the citizens, not even his supporters. He takes Dominicans for fools: Every election year the “The international airport is coming.” When Ross left “There are 5 universities/colleges ready to replace Ross.” Still no replacement. “A veterinarian college is coming” no such thing. Denying senior citizens the $300 stipend he made into law because they don’t support him. He is financing the drug cartels and the drug users in Dominica – if that POS cares why not set up a drug rehab in one of Ross’ abandoned buildings? He is a fraud and power hungry pig.
My hope is that Dominicans stand up for their rights and support every independent candidate on Dec. 6th, and show that POS he is not God. He is a Dictator wanna be, and he must be stopped.

The old Roseau public library should be rebuilt like it once was and turned into a museum and library. It should be brought back to like it was in the 1950’s. This old library has a lot of history. It should have been repaired right after Hurricane Maria and not allowed to fall apart. Yours truly with all his millions from his C B I passport sales can provide the funds unless he just does not care. He can use the money stashed away in his overseas bank accounts from the people of Dominica.

I love this comment from “Buju” though and I hope he actually means this. Forgiveness is a must and development is for all to partake of. Away with this party colors thing and emancipate ourselves from haters syndrome.
Let the division stop but we have to turn to our Father in order to let goof others and actually forgive.

Are these independent candidates suffering from hallucination? This mocked election results have long been decided even before one vote has been registered..

These guys just want their 5 minutes of fame. It’s just an opportunity for them to come out of obscurity and grab the headlines for a few seconds.

Karshma is emphatically passionate and resolute in his patriotism.
This is someone who has the gonads to speak up and endure persecution for the suffering of his people. EVERYONE else in Dominica stays quiet, or speak in parables.

Continue to speak against wrong and continue to fight for whats right !!

Everytime i hear about Roseau, i must blogg to expose Skerrit’s trickery, cunningness, insincerity, tricks, lies, etc.
The wicked prince of deception (Skerrit), unveiled in Lagon the artist impression of a new Roseau prior to the 2009 general election, and told the crowd, and the world that Roseau will be the envy of the Caribbean and the world. He knew dam well that he was lying, but he said it..
See Roseau today. It’s shameful that a capital city can be in such a deplorable state…Man, man, man,,,how much again can a people take with a man who NEVER speaks the truth? OMG!!!
    Skerrit is a WICKED SOUL!!!
