Commonwealth Secretary-General expresses condolences in wake of New Zealand attack

Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland

Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland today expressed shock and revulsion at the terror attack in Christchurch, New Zealand.

“On behalf of the Commonwealth family I convey my deepest sympathy to the people of New Zealand and to all those directly affected by the appalling acts of hate-fuelled violence that have been inflicted on the community in Christchurch.

“It is particularly shocking that such an attack should take place in houses of prayer, and our thoughts are with the families and others close to those who have been killed, or are casualties and suffering physical or mental distress. We salute the emergency services and all who are working to deal with the aftermath of this outrage.

“The people and nations of the Commonwealth, including New Zealand, work together to bring understanding and cohesion. And we will not be swayed from our collaboration and determination to build peace and understanding, and to counter violent extremism and hatred in all their forms and from whichever quarter they come.”

“It is particularly shocking that such an attack should take place in houses of prayer, ”

It is also shocking that you were born in Dominica by Antiguan Parent; left when you were two years old, never returned, or recognized Dominica, until you wanted Roosevelt the king of corruption to nominate you for your present job.

Roosevelt like the clown he is had no vision you were using him; he pretended to Dominicans you were home to help.

However, the only help you gave to Dominica, is suggest if we Dominicans do not like the corruption between you a convicted criminal, convicted of illegally employing illegal immigrants in England; we Dominicans can go and suck salt.

Mind you; you told us to go and suck salt after Roosevelt appointed you to scout the world, to get assistance in money to help victims of hurricane Erika.

Since your appointment by crooked Roosevelt you have not delivered one dime, or a Dominica one cent!

Shut up, just shut up, who cares!

The comments are disgusting under this article. C’mon people. The woman is expressing condolences and sympathy with hundreds of people and entire nations and instead, we make it a political game? A joke? Put the politics aside. There’s a time for politics and there’s a time we swallow down of partisan feelings and opinions and come together as a people and sympathize. SMH.

Any senseless act of violence is hard, but as SG said one of the hardest parts is that this happened in a house of prayers, not an “on the block thing”. Social discrimination is just disgusting and the most upsetting of it all is that he doesn’t care because he knows he will become infamous. His name will be aired on television series, in books etc. even years after he dies.

My heart again goes out for the healing of the survivors, all the family, the Muslim people, and the country of New Zealand.

The same Commonwealth Secretary General who came down to Dominica and insulted them, on behalf of lazy Skerrit and waste of time Labor. She could have written a more unified message, encouraging Dominicans to put their political differences aside and work hand in hand for one common good. Instead she was “Reginald Mal Vewa Austrie” in a dress. Had she conducted herself with more class and decorum, we would not have remembered her famous words, “Sousay Sel.”

Are you short of understanding my dear? Both parties and their supporters have thrown a slew of words and name callings at the other but when a crisis like this occurs, put the politics aside and let us together as a people let us mourn with the rest of the world. Our heart cannot be too hard to do that, is it? Politics does not belong in every situation and in a case like this Dominica’s Politics doesn’t belong. Put your blue cap down and mourn, not be hateful.

Patricia, telling the legal opposition political parliamentarians and those who oppose Skerritt and the Labor party to “go suck salt” because they don’t support the same plans and programs of the ruling government is Not working to build understanding and cohesion. Do you realize that under Skerritt the double doctorate dude, Dominica is currently blacklisted by the EU? Why then should the opposition go and suck salt? This proves that we are right to oppose this corrupt government and you were wrong and rude to want to compel us to genuflect at the altar of Labour party. The whole country is now sucking salt, Patricia, because of Skerritt’s shameful leadership.

I don’t want to take away anything from the horrible act of violence in New Zealand…… I stand in solidarity with the family of all of the victims.

But… honestly I am extremely surprised to see our secretary general of the Commonwealth….. where were you all that time miss after insulting Dominicans who didn’t support de Dr Dr to go suck salt
I mean the last time I saw a media report referring to the secretary general….. she was held liable for and charge in court for abuse of privilege.

My heart goes out to the family of the victims of this act of terror.
The families deserve some measure of Justice.
