Police say an Uber car dropped off Nikolas Cruz at his former school around 2:19 p.m. on Wednesday.
Within 10 minutes, authorities say he gunned down 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School and left campus undetected in a crowd of students.
Now, as the 19-year-old gunman begins his journey through the criminal justice system, a community is in mourning and investigators are looking for answers.

Civilians have no reason to posses an AR-15 rifle which is the same as the military version the M-16, the only difference is the AR-15 is not automatic but it is just as deadly. The AR-15 can be converted to full automatic by simply changing the trigger mechanism by someone who knows how to do it. In the military the M-16 and M4 Carbine trigger mechanisms are highly controlled so that they do not fall into the hands of civilians who can use them in an AR-15, they are inventoried every day for full accounting. These types of weapons are designed for one purpose and one purpose only and that is to kill the maximum number of people in a short amount of time not for hunting. Why would someone need a rifle like that to hunt deer or target practice if you cannot hit a target with a shot gun you need to just give up your hunting license because you cannot shoot.
Hello and good morning my people. Well what difference does it make if the perpetrator of this shooting confessed when the damage already happen. I spent twenty four years in law Enforcement where I made just over eight hundred arrest. I have one question for all the gun nuts in America which is. Can anyone shoot someone without using a gun. They can’t answer that question therefore they will bring up mental illness but not access to gun which is the problem. Many of the Southern States in America have very lax gun laws which creates problems for states like New York. Also if you all notice that they never show the dead bodies so the public can’t see the full impact of the destruction caused by such shootings rather they hide behind mental illness. They should allow all high school students to witness an Autopsy of a murdered victim so they can see the damage which occur when someone is shot and killed.
