Uncertainty grows over Mubarak’s health as power struggle looms

Mubarak

Conflicting reports swirled in Egypt on Wednesday about the health of former President Hosni Mubarak as a power struggle looms over who will succeed him following his ouster last year.

MENA, a state news agency, reported he was clinically dead late Tuesday. The nation’s military rulers quickly denied it.

“He is not clinically dead as reported, but his health is deteriorating and he is in critical condition,” said Gen. Mamdouh Shahin, a member of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.

I heard that Mubarak is off life support but still in a coma. This is a clear indication that he will die soon unless a miracle occurs. We do know once life support is taken off, there is no hope for him and that his death is imminent.
A man of his stature, how sad that he has reached that state. This should tell each one of us something even though we are not Kings, Queens, Presidents, Prime Ministers and political Ministers and of course those who are, treat people with due respect and dignity. Do not oppress them and their freedom of right. God gave them this right, to also live in harmony, safety and peace. No human has the right to take it away from them.As God is looking on, taking note and with disdain, sooner or later people will get just what they dish out to others even in this life.
Mubarak is not a Christian. Let us pray for Him that by the grace, compassion and mercy of God, He will forgive him. While some people are visibly evil and are oppressors, there is some good in them. We hope that God will have mercy on his soul when he makes the transition from life to death. He cannot pray for himself. I hope he did it while he had all his faculties.
However, if God forgives him, he will not go directly to Heaven. Those of you who doubt this, you better believe it. His soul will go to Purgatory for a period of time and maybe a long time to be cleansed of his sins. I hope this is what will happen to his soul at the time of death. It all lies with God and not any human being. May the Lord have mercy on him!
When I hear of the death of specifically certain people, I always say, I hope at least their souls are in Purgatory. One day, when they have fully made restitution they will go to Heaven. Better to wish this than wish Hell. However, speak the truth and advise people the repercussion for sins for offending God, rejecting and ignoring Him in our lives.

The saying is true and those who do not believe it are constantly reminded that we are just passing through. This was an “Hon” president, who was considered by some to be a dictator but like all of us, he was just mortal flesh. His body now lay lifeless, a memory away of the once inflated personality with power in abundance that is no more.

God has bestowed upon us the power to love, forgive, inspire and uplift others
Yet we choose to abuse, oppress, dictate, kill, hate, vilify and denigrate in our greed for power, fame and dominion over others
These stories remind us that this world is not ours- we are pilgrims who are passing through.
Therefore, families, friends and neighbors ought not fight each other for property
Politicians need not manipulating others in search of wealth to be left behind when all is said and done.
Making valueless all the millions acquired through fraud and dishonesty- when we are gone.

So I wish we could enjoy peace and love more
Serve our time gracefully, with more humility in acknowledgment of our fragility.
Being kinder and more tolerant with each other
Dreaming as if we will live forever
While we live as if we’ll be dead tomorrow without regrets
Laughing and enjoying life as we take yet another breath
Doing the best we can within our limited ability to pass life’s test
Playing our role in serving humanity with pride, dignity and integrity
For in the end- we too shall simply wither away to eternity

And so, I reflect, as it were, on the biblical statement to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of those who hate you, neither yet have you asked for long life; but you have simply asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may lead my people, over whom I have made you King and maybe President or Prime Minister.

I’m very puzzled by the last paragraph in your comment ending with a statement from The Biblical story of Solomon. To me this just did not gave justice or credence to the previous paragraphs.

Do you really think Solomon was a saint, and should be someone to be admired as a ruler. I will tell you this the wealth and riches associated to Solomon did not come very cheap. How do you think they were acquired, well by slave labor, high taxation and treasures from war.He was an oppressive dictator who taxed his people to death to pay for all these lavish Palaces and wealth he was said to own, and how else can a King have so many wives, this can only be done by a “womanizer”. In to days society this would not be accepted, some of the dictators today would be dwarfs compared to him. As to his wisdom, this is just BS.Look around you today, the Royal Families who are in position they all use trickery to consolidate their power and right to rule. Hitler once said quote “How fortunate for leaders that men do not think”
