At least 84 people have been killed, including more than 10 children, after a lorry slammed through a crowd celebrating Bastille Day in the southern French city of Nice.

The driver ploughed on for 2km (1.2 miles) on the Promenade des Anglais at about 23:00 local time on Thursday, before being shot dead by police.

Witnesses say the lorry swerved in an apparent attempt to hit more people.

Guns and a grenade found inside the lorry were reported to be fakes.

President Francois Hollande, who is in Nice, said the attack was of “an undeniable terrorist nature”.

    Peace Is Flowing Like A River
    Peace is flowing like a river,
    Flowing out through you and me,
    Flowing out into the desert,
    Setting all the captives free.
    Chorus:
    Let it flow, flow, flow (2)
    Let the peace of Jesus Christ
    Flow through you and me
    Let it flow, flow, flow (2)
    Let the mighty peace of Christ
    Flow out through you and me.

    His Love is flowing like a river . . .
    His Joy is flowing like a river . . .
    His Hope is flowing like a river . . .

      Those who have received the Lord Jesus as their Savior by believing that HIS death on the cross paid the penalty for their sins can make this their prayer.

      We cannot give out what we do not have. But when we have CHRIST WITHIN we can pray that His peace, love, joy, and hope will flow out from us every day.

      Jesus promised “He that believeth on me, as the scriptures hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38)

      Have you believed on Him? Have you trusted His precious BLOOD alone for your salvation? Then out of your belly shall flow …

      This is what the world needs. It is the only answer to this old world’s problems.

      It is is a lovely song. It is also a prayer. Christians should sing it, pray it, and make it part of their lives.

      Thank you Tell the Facts :!:

        Another one which we sing occasionally in church is: “Let there be peace on earth and let it begin with me.”
        These two are a few of my favorites.
        The situation in the world is becoming worst. The world is in dire need of peace. We do have to pray for peace and keep on praying.

    Those who do not want to pray for peace also for their country and where others reside, watch out. It is exactly what God wants us to do. People should do more praying than criticizing. If people prayed, prayed more and well, they would not harbor hatred for others.
    Saint Padre Pio of Italy was asked when he was dying , what would he like to tell the world. He replied: “Tell people to pray and get others to pray.”
    The Mother of God, the Ever Blessed Virgin Mary said: “Pray, Pray, Dear Children, Pray.” Her messages are many.
    Prayer will also make us relatively happy and peaceful.
    Coincidentally, a Priest, Father Larry is on EWTN. His program is, “Reason for our Faith.” He is speaking on “Prayer”. He said: “Each one of you have a different characteristic. God wants you to exemplify it.”
    He spoke about St. Peter and St. Paul. He is another one I love listening to.

    No Peace without Christ!

    • Tell the Facts
      July 15, 2016

      You are correct! Our Lord Jesus Christ, The Divine Mercy said: “Unless mankind turn to My Merciful Heart, there will be no peace!”
      Peace is to be found in him and him alone. Wish some people would know this, comprehend it and practice it.
      Those who love the Lord and love others will be peaceful people who will generate same. As it is said, “A book is judged by its cover.” They will act accordingly, in words and deeds. They will do no harm to others and will want what is best for them.

    • July 16, 2016

      Amen!

      There will be no world peace until the Prince of Peace returns.

      But individuals can have peace with God now through the cross work of the Lord Jesus because He “…made peace by the blood of his cross.” (Colossians 1:20) Our sins were laid upon Him, and he bore the penalty for our guilt. The bible says “… we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins.” (Colossians 1:14) All who believe this receive peace with God because God promises “…their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” (Hebrews 8:12)

      It is wonderful to know we have peace with God NOW because our sins are forgiven. Not only are we forgiven, but God has cancelled the penalty!

      It is written “There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.” (Romans 8:1)

  6. Tell the Facts - Our Condolence
    July 15, 2016

    I visualize the sad and distraught feeling and hopelessness of the people of France at what befell them. It is a traumatic ordeal.
    We, in the democratic world, feel for you, your loss and what you are presently undergoing which is a difficult time for you. Take heart. God is with you.
    My heartfelt sympathy to the families of those who died in this callous attack. Similarly to others who personally knew them and to the general population of France as you also mourn their loss.
    May you be consoled and strengthened with the love and compassion of our God who observes your grief and is surrounding you at this time.
    To the injured victims: I also pray, may God comfort you, ease your pain/sufferings, heal your injuries and grant you serenity and peace.
    For the departed: Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen!
    Lord have mercy! Christ have mercy! Lord hear us! Christ graciously hear us! Amen!

  7. Tell the Facts - Save Revenge for the Lord
    July 15, 2016

    Our enemies are lurking everywhere, in every country to commit harm. God has promised to justly recompense them as they deserve.
    John 16:3 – …In fact, the hour is coming when everyone who kills you will think he is offering worship to God. They will do this because they have not known either the Father or Me. I have told you this so that when their hour comes, you may remember that I told you.
    Our Lord has commanded through his disciples; a message for us all:
    Hebrews 10:30:31 – We know the One who said: “Vengeance is mine; I will repay,” and again: “The Lord will judge his people.” It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
    Hebrews 12:14 – Penalties of Disobedience. Strive for peace with everyone, and for that holiness without which no one will see the Lord.

  8. Tell the Facts - Save Revenge for the Lord
    July 15, 2016

    Hebrews 12:29 – . . . For our God is a consuming fire.
    Romans 12:14-15 – Mutual Love – Bless those who persecute you. Bless and do not curse them. Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.
    Romans 12:16-19 – Have the same regard for one another; do not be haughty but associate with the lowly; do not be wise in your own estimation. Do not repay anyone evil for evil; be concerned for what is noble in the sight of all. If possible, on your part, live at peace with all. Beloved, do not look for revenge but leave room for the wrath, for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine; I will repay, says the Lord.
    Romans 12:20 -21- Rather, if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals upon his head. Do not be conquered by evil but conquer evil with good.

      So many wonderful scriptures that speak to us and address the violence all around us today. I encourage
      DNO readers to meditate on these verses because this is how we are to respond.

      This is not what we are seeing on T.V. We are seeing men who have not been born again (made new by the quickening of the Holy Spirit) – men in their fallen broken state – seeking vengeance which is all the natural man knows to do.

      As HE hung on the cross smitten and bleeding, paying the penalty for your sins and mine, our precious Savior cried “Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Did you know that His blessed virgin Mother stood at the foot of the cross watching it all? Don’t you think her heart of love was being torn from her bosom? Did she curse the Roman soldiers? No! As she listens to Jesus saying “Father, forgive them, …” I believe she was weeping as only a mother could weep, and she was saying “Yes, Father. Forgive, oh forgive, …”

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald…

        You know what the prophet Simeon said to her, “A sword shall pierce your heart?” Luke 2:35
        I have a book and a leaflet, “The Seven Sorrows of Mary.” I got a few and distributed to my relatives and friends, worldwide. I have to get some more.
        She said her heart was in pain when she thought of what He went through.
        I have some information which states that after Our Lord died, she would walk re-live) the path of his passion to his crucifixion. It is speculated she died on the path.
        This is why we Catholics make the Stations of the Cross, in remembrance of Our Lord’s passion, crucifixion and death and meditating on it..
        If you can, get the book, The Secret of the Rosary written by St. Louis de Montfort. It is a great book. There are also some messages of Our Lord. I read it. It is captivating.
        While checking for some passages in the Holy Bible, I felt as if Our Lord was on earth talking and I was in his presence hearing him. It was a great, spiritual feeling!

  9. July 15, 2016

    In the days of Noah before God sent the flood the Bible says “The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.” (Genesis 6:11)

    When the lord Jesus was here He said “…as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” (Matthews 24:37

    Every time we receive a news report from the media of another terrorist attack it should remind us that we are living in the last days. Christ could come at any moment. “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:44)

    Only those who have trusted what the Savior did for them on the cross to put their sins away as it says in Romans 5:6-8, and have received Him as their personal Savior according to John 1:12 and 1 John 5:11,12 will be ready to meet Him.

    Why do you wait oh sinner,
    Why do you further delay?
    No one can save you but Jesus,
    And there is no other way but His way!

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist

    In Response to Week of Violence, Knights of Columbus Urges Prayers for Healing

    St. Francis’ Prayer of Peace suggested as commitment to peace and forgiveness
    Following a week of violence across the United States and this week in Nice, France, the Knights of Columbus has called for a novena of prayer to heal the wounds and divisions afflicting this country and the world.
    Knights and their families, and all people of good will are encouraged to join in the novena (nine days of prayer) that will run from July 14-22 by praying St. Francis of Assisi’s Prayer for Peace:

    Lord, make me an instrument of your peace.
    Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
    where there is injury, pardon;
    where there is doubt, faith;
    where there is despair, hope;
    where there is darkness, light;
    where there is sadness, joy.
    O Divine Master, grant that I may not
    so much seek to be consoled as to console;
    to be understood as to understand;
    to be loved as to love.
    For it is in giving that we receive;
    it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
    and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen

    “The violent episodes of the past week and this week have shocked the conscience of our country, our world” said Supreme Knight Carl Anderson. “

      For years I have appreciated this prayer of St. Francis.

      There is nothing in this prayer that cannot be prayed by all true believers in Jesus Christ.

      Each single line can be meditated upon as we pray it as a request to God. Let it be noted that all people of good will are being encouraged to join in this special season of petition for healing and peace.

      To pray effectively we must be on praying ground. The Lord Jesus taught us “When you pray say ‘Our Father who art in heaven, …” This means we are to first know God as our Father. Only those who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior are the children of God. It is written “He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons (children) of God, even to
      them that believe on his name.” (John 1:10-12)

      • July 16, 2016

        Continued:

        Those who have received Jesus Christ as their Savior and become sons (children) of God are those who believe His shed blood and death on the cross paid the price in full for their salvation. They are trusting in His precious BLOOD, and His blood ALONE for their salvation :!:
        They are not depending upon their good works – not even their religious works – to take them to heaven. They are relying entirely and exclusively upon what HE did.

        “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: It is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8,9)

        Let all those who find themselves on praying ground today petition the Father of all Mercy and Grace in the name of name of our Lord Jesus for healing and protection in these troubled times.

        Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

        They are prayers which are also sung. I forwarded it to some people I know. I encourage them to pray it daily. I also told them they can also sing it. Those who sing pray twice. :)
        God wants us to live in peace. If only some people would comprehend that and live in peace with others, what a happy world it would be.
        I keep this prayer near my computer so that I do not forget to pray it. It is also in my church hymnal. We could pray it daily along with our personal prayers. I will continue to pray/sing it daily for world peace..
        I have a book of Peace Prayers (Prayer for Peace) which I bought a few years ago at a Catholic prayerful gathering. I also pray from it.
        God bless you!

    “Through this prayer, each of us has the opportunity to help transcend hatred and violence by personally committing to the concepts of love of neighbor, peace and forgiveness that are central to an authentic embrace of Christianity. It is our hope that, from coast to coast, throughout the world those who pray this prayer will become true instruments of peace.”
    Supreme Chaplain, Archbishop William Lori of Baltimore, also urged people to join this prayer campaign: “During this Year of Mercy, let us pray for an end to violence and senseless killings,” he said. “Through our prayers and good works, may we help build a society that is merciful, just, and peaceful.”
    Founded in 1882 in New Haven, Conn. by the Venerable Servant of God Fr. Michael McGivney, the Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic fraternal group with nearly two million members worldwide.

    Here we go again.No one is saying all Muslims are terrorist but facts and figures don.t lie.ISIS made it abundantly clear,”We will infiltrate the refuges coming to the European countries including the U.S.and we are going to kill your citizens.The department of intelligence in the Obama administration told him.
    “We cannot adequately vet these refuges because some of them are coming with no documents.They have no traceable records,we don’t know if some are our enemies.”
    Some are suggesting why not secure a safe zone in Syria,feed and protect them from the Syrian army.? Obama and Clinton said NO.BRING THEM IN the U.S.
    Obama reminds me of the gospel song.

    Bring them in,bring them in
    Bring the wandering ones to Jesus

    • July 15, 2016

      Except Obama and Clinton are not bringing them to Jesus.

      They are bringing them to a godless land where unborn babies are being murdered legally by the thousands, where same sex marriage is legal, and where buggery and transgenderism is celebrated and promoted and an effort is being made to silence the preachers of righteousness. The government of Canada is doing the same and maybe worse.

      We cannot stop the influx of immigrants which undoubtedly has terrorists planted among them. But our Bible believing gospel preaching churches need to wake up and seize the moment. THE MISSION FIELDS
      HAVE COME TO US :!: Let us rally the troops. Not to fight a political war. But to reach these newcomers to our shores with the clear uncompromised gospel of Christ that produces the new birth and teach them how to live the Christian life.

      Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.
