Donald Trump accepted the GOP’s nomination Thursday in the same way he launched his campaign: slamming immigrants and linking them to crime.
Trump didn’t budge from his combative stance on immigration as he wrapped up the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
He officially accepted the party’s nomination for president by telling a pumped-up crowd that the nation’s security is under threat from immigrants and illegal immigration.

Unfortunately, this is not a personal game of likes and dislikes. It is about taking charge of a very important country on the world stage. You can’t just go shooting off your mouth as if you are in the lobby of Trump Towers. Every word you speak about anything as President of the USA takes on major significance not just for America but the world.
This man may have managed to build an empire from a good headstart if what I read and hear is correct. That does not, however translate to him being a good President at least not if one were to judge by his irresponsible statements and comments and his woeful lack of knowledge of world affairs. Even when he has the help of a teleprompter her comes off as crass and ignorant.
The man has got where he is in the race basically on his appeal to the fear, anger, racism, and other negative characteristics which were buried somewhere within the psyche of so many Americans. He gave them a platform to which they responded.
His wife is an immigrant and ironically committed the crime of plagiarizing the first lady of the united states in a public speech! iron of ironies!
Comprehend this is politics. Most people have a different opinion. As the saying, “As many heads there are, it is as many opinions you will get.” Who could be right and who could be wrong? We must view this issue with a broad mind.
We know that politicians could say anything to get votes. They reserve the right as long as they are honest. If they deliver it everyone would be pleased. If not, it will be something else. None can please everyone.
The political talk is about Trump. How many thought he would have reached this far? As a US citizen and a businessman he has issues with the goings-on in the US and in the government. Wherever we reside, do we not all have issues with the system, wished it were different and governments would operate differently? Then, Trump is no different. So he wants to make the US a better and safer place. As a businessman (also) he knows that every able person should work and not rip-off the gov’t. and hardworking taxpayers.

The US, unlike a small country has many opportunities, if people apply themselves.
Crimes are a huge problem in the US; no exception elsewhere. We have a fair knowledge of what cause those problems and by whom. These are non-contributory to the economy.
The law-abiding Immigrants who reside abroad themselves have been affected and are concerned about the criminal elements in their environment which are escalating.
Trump found a platform to campaign on which is close to the heart of many. I do not think he is attacking every immigrant. We do know that many immigrants have lived a law-abiding life and have done extremely well. Some others have not. If they are law-abiding, they are not the problem. However, among these rank some criminals.
He is concerned too about the Mexican immigrants. In recent years I have heard/read about them. They defy the US authorities by forcing their way to the US. Some built tunnels to bypass US immigration authorities.

We must not be hypocritical about that. Call a spade a spade. If some immigrants and illegal ones pose a problem to the country they chose to reside in and become criminals, then they should be booted out of the country. Immigrants know why they immigrated in the first place; it is to make a better life for themselves. Why would they have the urge to get involved in criminal activities?

At first I did not favor Trump for President. However, considering these two, Trump and Clinton, I would choose Trump and vote for him with the thought, let me see what he could do and better than especially Obama.

I would not criticize them, penalize them nor make an issue out of it. The issues are how well they could serve the people and make the US a better and safer place to live; of course economically. This is what US residents should be concerned about. At present, in many ways, the US is far from that. I wonder if it will ever get better.
