US atheists plan ‘Rapture party’

US atheists are to hold parties in response to an evangelical broadcaster’s prediction that Saturday will be “judgement day”.

The Rapture After Party in North Carolina – “the best damned party in NC” – is among the planned events.

Harold Camping, 89, predicts that Jesus Christ will return to earth on Saturday and true believers will be swept up, or “raptured”, to heaven.

He has used broadcasts and billboards to publicize his ideas.

The bible said in the days there shall be false prophets and those are they, people read your bible open your eyes and get knowledge then you will know who is true and who is false. there are things that must take place before Jesus return. The Jews his chosen people must first believe and accept him as lord and savoir and not as a prophet, the bible said he came unto his own and his own received him not, so they must in turn receive him again. Christ is coming back for his bride his body and his bride is not ready, everybody fighting each other i mean Christians, and Jesus is coming to Jerusalem and the dome of the rock must be first destroyed and rebuild before his return that is the place of his kingdom so…………….be informed he is coming but not tomorrow that is a LIE and DECEIVING news so people get your heart right for he might come for you personally, repent of your sins be baptize and receive the holy ghost, and prepare to meet your God blessings to all the readers.

@ Migrated D/can, the jews do not see Jesus (p) as a prophet. They see him as a bastard child of Mary and that Mary was a shamoota (a whore). This is the jewish belief from their talmud.

It is the muslims who believe that Jesus (p) is a prophet and messenger of God to whom the gospel was revealed.

This is a wake up call for all of us whether it be true or false, everything happens for a reason. We must not forget Noah and the flood when the people were laughing and mocking. In these times when we are seeing all the signs of the times all over the world and remember, the caribbean is no exception. We have absolutely nothing to lose but everything to gain when we give our lives and Heart to Jesus Christ, we just have to come as dirty and unclean as we are, Jesus will do the cleaning up because he wants us to live and reign with him in Heaven, that`s why he went to prepare a place for us, for he loves us sooo very much that he does not want to lose us.It takes less than a minute to ask him to come into our Hearts and lives.God`s blessings and see you all in Heaven.

The return of Jesus Christ is enevitable; Jesus gave no date, as He claimed limited knowledge of that coming. However He spoke many of the signs to His disciples, which they wrote down by the wisdom and revelations of His Holy Spirit for us to know about.

One thing Jesus said is that the Gospel must be preach all over the world, and then the end will come. In other words Jesus will come at a time when every person in this world should have had their privilege to hear the Good News of Eternal Life–we have a choice. Today we have all difference sources to hear the Good News of Eternal Life, not to mention the Holy Bible itselft. No one will be able to say: I did not know, even if that day was tomorrow.

And so no one has to accept a specific date from a human being, but the broadcast of the comming of Jesus Christ should be taken very seriously–to be prepared to receive Jesus; dead or alive.

If I were those who plan to party tomorrow I would think twice. God is a Living God, and He will not be mocked. He could teach them that lesson, which they have fail to respect, at that bashing party they have organized. That is the way, they would have stupidly tested God’s wrath, asking for it from HIm, because of their foolish pride and arrogance..

If only human beings would acknowledge that their carnal mind only nothingness–the vanity of existence that passes away in the wind.

“An atheist and entrepreneur from North Hampshire, Bart Centre, is enjoying a boost in business for Eternal Earth-bound Pets, which he set up to look after the pets of those who believe they will be raptured.

He has more than 250 clients who are paying up to $135 (£83) to have their pets picked up and cared for after the rapture.

They would be disappointed twice, he told the Wall Street Journal. “Once because they weren’t raptured and again because I don’t do refunds.”

That one have me in stitches we.

Lord Have mercy!!!! We should not focus on whether or not God is coming on May 21st 2011, the question is am i ready for his coming? Will i be so disappointed by the misinformation that i continue to live my life recklessly? What if Jesus returns this moment, will I be ready to meet him? I’m a bit disappointed by the ridicules that are hurled by so many persons in reference to the May 21st 2011, and my mind goes back to Noah preaching all these years that there was going to be a great big flood without giving any specific date. The people began to mock and scorn him like they are doing right now. Then came the flood and so many perished. I would like to admonish everyone to use these warnings as a motivation to prepare your hearts for the Lord’s return, for no man knows the hour or the day of that dreadful day. The Lord’s coming for you and I may not be the rapture. It could be a sudden death like we have been experiencing quite alot i must say. So, to those of us who believes that after death is the judgement, the end of the world for you may just be you dying in an accident. Once we exit this life there is no point of return but to await our fate. Heaven or hell. Which one are you going to choose.ARE YOU READY TO MEET YOUR CREATOR if he comes this very moment

I suport you 100%! the question is not so much on when God is coming but each person should be asking them self ” am I ready or will I be ready when my end comes?” be it any moment from now, the 21st of after, our end must come and we must give account to the most High God, That power that is above every other power, the one that created the heavens and the earth, we all must stand before him one day in judgement. There is coming a day, sooner than we think, when every kneee must bow and acknoledge him as the most High and Supreme God so let us not be so concern about when the rapture will be but instead prepare ourself for whenever our time on earth will come to an end for without a shodow of a doubt, it must come and we will be faced with spending eternity in heaven or hell but it is dependent on how we live life here on earth. so lets do the right thing and prepare for life after death and not just for the rapture.

There is some strength in your argument, however, I totally disagree with your reference to Noah, as the issues here are totally different.

      1. There was no contradicting that Noah was doing and preaching God’s will and though he was he never gave any specific date or time.

      2. The word clearly states, as you referenced that no one knows the time of His return so how can this man be so bold as to give a date.

I think it is a bit laughable that a man could so boldly put a date on God’s return when Jesus himself could not. God does not go back on his word. He never has and never will so the date his return will remain to man an unknown fact.

What I agree with you on is that we should not spend time worrying if His return is tomorrow or not but treat our life as if it were ending the next minute and BE READY TO MEET OUR GOD>

The bible also said in 1st Thessalonians ch 5 verse 4 ” But he brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.
So you must compare scripture with scripture. Read the entire chapter 5.

Our heavenly father never gave a date of the return of his son but indicated the signs of the end this system of things. We need to examine our bibles and to teach the truth but not our idealogy.

I you were concienced food was not important you would notworry about not eating. that afct is you would die of malnutrition but you did not belive it was good.
