The Venezuelan parliament has approved a law giving President Nicolas Maduro the power to legislate by decree for nine months in the face of what the president described as threats by the US government.

The so-called “anti-imperialist” law will be in effect from the time it is published in Venezuela’s Official Gazette until December 31.

Maduro requested the expanded powers in response to new US sanctions on Venezuelan officials accused of human rights violations.

Critics of Venezuela’s government have called the move a power grab.

MADURO YOU HAVE CROSSED LINE, THREE STRIVES AND YOUR OUT.

    ▪ First, Venezuelan complicity with the Islamist terrorists in Iran. The governor of the state of Aragua, Tareck El Aissami, of Arab origin, is a former Interior minister said to have strong connections to the Iran government. He has used his posts to create a network of Middle East terrorists fed by drug trafficking.

    ▪ The second boundary crossed by Caracas is, precisely, drug trafficking. There are Venezuelan generals who are up to their eyebrows in that murky trade. Out of the 700 tons of cocaine produced annually worldwide, 300 go through Venezuela to Europe via Africa or to the United States via Central America. Diosdado Cabello, the president of Parliament, has been accused of being the chief of the main cartel.

    ▪ Third is the widespread laundering of ill-gotten cash. Petróleos de Venezuela, the state-owned oil company known by the acronym PDVSA, is where most of the crooked transactions take place, including…

are you scared because i can think for myself?
        try it one day.
        you WILL surprise yourself
you just don’t like how i comparing what happening in Venezuela with the moves Cuba is making.
        Castro betrayed Che.
Whether you like it or not.
To save face and de future prosperity of the country…….he must bow!!!
you can feel bad for him if you want.
Chavez never wanted to bow. When his health start failing him he start crying to the Lord like he never did before in his life……….It was too late.
He wanted to be forgiven. It was just too late.
castro wants to be forgiven….If he didn’t make that move how do you think history would treat him.
Is he doing this for self or country or both
Some leaders don’t want their citizens to be able to think for their self and come to their own conclusions
What can you achieve when your fellow citizens fear you!!!

So I know once America says a place is a threat to American security next move will be America seeking to eliminate that threat, remember Grenada invasion. Now has madura made the right counter move , I doubt it as itwill appear to America that he isestablishing a dictatorship, now Dominica has very close ties with Venuezeula so where does that leave Dominica. is Dominica heading in the same direction.

Very soon Skerrit will seek to officially govern by decree. I cannot wait for that day to come so those doubting Thomases, those that always think they know the facts while they hide in Canada, and others could stop doubting and start to feel the fire of hell
