VIDEO: Hong Kong to push ahead with bill that sparked massive protest

Carrie Lam, Chief Executive of Hong Kong

The Leader of Hong Kong, Chief Executive Carrie Lam, has decided to push ahead with a bill that sparked the largest protest in Hong Kong in over a decade.

The new law will allow those charged in Hong Kong to be extradited to the mainland to face charges. Opponents of this bill say that this will subject individuals to vague national security charges and unfair trials.

You are chinese. That’s the way it is. It’s one China. Not a divided China. So, extradition laws are quite fair. Look at the treaty between The USA and Canada. Persons in Canada can be extradited to the US , and they’re two different countries. Why can’t the same happen in the “same” country? It’s one China.

Sadly, Chief Executive Lam has no control over this issue. Her master in Beijing has already told her come hell or high water the bill SHALL be passed. Barring a Tiananmin style protest where the good people of Hong Kong are willing to die for what they believe the Chinese government will not relent. Sadly, that’s the way we are going in Dca where folks like Ag. Peter, Francine and Gerald Burton have no choice but to toe the line of the man who reports to Beijing the said Dr. Dr..

    Time will tel surely tell.
