A mother has been jailed for killing her 12-year-old autistic son by making him drink bleach.
Ajit Singh-Mahal was found dead at the family home in Barking, east London, in February.
Satpal Kaur-Singh, 44, pleaded guilty to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility. She had denied the boy’s murder.
Kaur-Singh, who also drank bleach on the day of the killing, was jailed for seven years at the Old Bailey.
Judge Peter Beaumont, the Recorder of London, told her: “I recognise how difficult Ajit was to care for.

Stop judging people. We don’t know how it is to raise a child with this problem. We have normal kids and we go crazy with muchless for a sick child. We also abuse our children with belts when they get us mad and they are normal. So think twice before posting comments because we don’t know when we will snapp.

If you can’t raise the child put the child in a home or something. That doesn’t give her any right to kill the child ok. everyone deserves a chance to live no matter their condition.
My mother has a son who is retard as they say. And he is nothing easy to take care of. She has been taking care of him for 33 years now and he is nothing easy to take care of. If you no the kind of things he does, you would never believe. So she had no right to kill that child.

It is difficult for people to raise such children, but there are other people willing to help with such child, and they deserve normal lives… more than half of autistic children have some special gift. And it’s amazing to me that you agree with killing the child…and STOP LOOKING ON OTHERS!!!! and start looking at yourself… if i had to jump of a plane without a parachute you wouldn’t have jump too

Everyone is different, some persons have higher tolerance levels than others. It is not that difficult for someone to snap.

I just think it was an act of love, yes it is wrong but being with her ill child and seeing how the child suffered from day to day could cause that. Have any of u had a loved one who is in suffering everyday, if not its not easy seeing them in pain. She could have given him up but would you? I think the fact that she tried to kill herself along with the child speaks for itself! She just wanted it all to end! It’s a sad case and no one is to blame or argued about. @way way….dont you know that Dominca have austistic children too????…..well we do!!! we just dont have many avenues here to help mothers with autistic children to cope….cause i have an autistic child and its not an easy thing to deal with….but there is no way am gonna kill my son…children with autism are extremely intelligent and they have special skills that no one can imagine. have u seen the movie about temple gradin?
