Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Secretary-General, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque has extended congratulations to the Prime Minister-elect of Canada, Mr Justin Trudeau.

Mr. Trudeau and the Liberal Party won a landslide victory in Canada’s Federal Elections held on 19 October.

In a congratulatory message to the Prime Minister elect, the Secretary-General said he looked forward to working with Mr. Trudeau and his new government to deepen the “fruitful and longstanding relationship” between CARICOM and Canada.

“The resounding mandate that the People of Canada have conferred on you and your party is undoubtedly a reflection of the confidence they repose in your leadership and in the ability of your party to successfully address issues of importance for improving their welfare and for the continued development of the country.”

“The Caribbean Community extends its best wishes to you for every success, as you assume the mantle of leadership of your country and for the continued well-being of your people. The Community also looks forward to working with you and your Government to deepen the fruitful and longstanding relationship which exists between CARICOM and Canada, given our shared values and mutual interests,” the Secretary-General said in the message.

Congratulations Prime Minister Elect Justine Trudeau. The Canadian voters have given you a very strong mandate. They believed in you. Thank you Mr. Secretary General for extending congratulations on our behalf; well done. Another red train has come around the tracks,,, toote, toote

Congratulations also to the losing parties for graciously accepting their defeat at the Polls and have told Mr. Trudeau they will work wit him because they love their country. Now that is class even in defeat. Put your country first that shows you respect the voters and you love your country.

That mature gesture and love for country and respect for voters; could one day again give Canadians a choice when next they come to the POLLS. In meantime for the next 5 years; it is going to be a Liberal Government.

Rev you are misguided and probably from the Caribbean or how else you would pick this fight with Mr Trudeau on DNO I live in Canada and listened to all the leaders speeches and never once did Mr Trudeau explained his platform the way you stated it , you obviously read Stephen Harpers attack ad placed in the area where the new emigrants lived to gain the rest. votes. Yes he is for legalizing marijuana so there will be less people in jail for that offence, he promised to Amend the Security law and made other promises, since you are in Orillia, ont. check the Toronto news paper which endorsed him. Abortion and prostitution never – it is people like in your ministries who distorts things to gain members. Lastly, you should know not to judge – leave this to God, you have a right to vote like others.Bye the way I voted for Real Change, see the openness with the reporters, just the beginning of change. Too bad your Stephen Harper is gone and all such tyrants.

This is part of the news, as stated by a former MP who was defeated:

“We’ve seen, roughly every 10 years, Canadians are in a mood for a change, whether they need it or not,” she said. “And we were hearing that.”
“We found at the doors that people really were supportive of our values, our policies, they really liked what we were doing,” she added.
Voters she met while campaigning suggested Canadians were simply ready for a change.

My view: A new broom always sweeps clean. As time goes by, I hope this change will not be regretted but prove beneficial to the country on a whole.

The son of the former PM Trudeau. Totally groomed to be a PM puppet in a socialist regime.

Stay where you are and build-up your tropical country of Dominica while cooperating with your PM.
You do not want nine months of winter. :) It is already cool and getting colder. God knows what is in store for us as it gets colder.
It is no bed of roses here. Times are not the same as previously. Many will state it was better when his father was PM.
We have many complaints, too numerous to mention. It is not getting better. As the saying, we are hanging in there.
We will see how well Trudeau can operate this country. We will soon find out.

He wants to bring tens of thousands of Syrians into Canada. We can see what’s happening in Europe with them. He also wants to massively increase social spending. Where is this money going to come from?

No talk of jobs for the people or cutting spending on wasteful projects. As I can see reading other posts here, “I’ll vote for him because he’s pretty.”

No thought as to what kind of leader he might be.

He is a rich man and a big spender. I have stated that he will bankrupt the country. He does not seem to care about Canada’s security and the people’s safety. Under Stephen Harper we would feel more secure. We will hear and read more about Trudeau.

CARICOM has done the politically correct thing.

Canadian citizens voted Mr. Trudeau in based upon the things DNO commentators have said about him in their comments with no concern for morals or values, or the lack thereof. By so doing they have charted the course Canada will take for years to come.

This man is for abortion. He promised to legalize marijuana. He is for legalized prostitution. He is for cutting back on national security and putting our country at risk. The people who put him in office are those of his own kind. Many other countries have enough of these people to take the nation to hell. All they need is for a charismatic leader of their on stripe to run for office.

Christians who know their Bibles will understand what I am talking about. I use to find it difficult to believe the world would accept the anti-Christ. Now it is clear. He will approve their ungodly lifestyles and promise them what they want.

    Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.

It is protocol that CARICOM congratulated Trudeau.
It is shocking for a man who is a Catholic Christian. You know all about his mother, Margaret and her ways. While married, she embarrassed her husband who was later her ex-, his father. This tells much.
Justine Trudeau will have much to answer to God for. Leaders do for they are given a mandate to rule with morality. They think in this so-called modern-day ideology everything goes. One day they will find out their error.
I am afraid Canada will go down lower. Under Harper it was in check. He did his best to keep it in check. We lost a good PM in Harper.
You can see how many people are stupid and blind. Some voted for Liberal because they have been doing so all their lives and some for years. They say it was time for a change from Harper but it was time for a change for them to cease voting Liberal. Time will tell.
As you, I feel as if Canada does not have a PM. Today, I told a few people about that.

    • October 24, 2015

Reverend Hill, I do not participate in the voting of Government or any kind of voting whatsoever. But for some reasons I wasn’t with Justin Trudeau–I wanted Steven Harper and him men and women of Government to win.

However it seem as if he didn’t want to stay either, since he resigned as the Conservative Parliament Leader.

But Canadians have made their choice–the consequences is theirs to suffer or enjoy–God help us

    • October 23, 2015

You should thank God there are enough sensible people left in Dominica to hold things together. They would rather live in a cave than in the hell hole some nations in the western world are becoming all in the name of equality and tolerance.

When a nation no longer has God in their corner no amount of prosperity and affluence will compensate. It will fall when the day of testing comes. Someday soon those who chose the way of rebellion and sin will cry for the rocks and mountains to fall upon them and hide them from the wrath of Him who sits upon the throne.

Dominica has a lot of handsome men. I do not know if you realize it, he has make-up. Anytime they go before the public, take a picture and on TV, they are made up. It is done so professionally that it cannot be seen. I am not stating he is not handsome but the make-up and the color of the picture, makes him look more handsome.

I am proud to have boted for change. Any administration in office for 10 years must go.

    • October 23, 2015

In a Democracy it is the people – the voters – who put a candidate in office and keep him there.

Where Trudeau is now Harper once was. Many of us who initially put Harper in office were happy with him after 10 years.

His loss may reflect some wrong choices on his part. Nobody is perfect. Many of us know his loss says more about the moral decay of our nation during the past ten years. As an evangelist I recognize this and resolve to be more faithful and concise in my proclamation of the Word of God to our nation if the Lord gives me the opportunity.

I ask Christians everywhere to pray for a revival in the Assemblies of God\’s people that will flow out into our communities, changing lives and transforming society. It has happened before and is part of well documented church history in England, Wales, the New England States on the eastern coast of America, and in a number of nations in more distant parts of the world I could tell you about.

      Sincerely. Rev. Donald Hill,…
