The Leo Club of Domincia, a nonprofit organization which consist of a vibrant and collective group of young persons desiring to serve the communities of Dominica, has yet again reached out!
The early childhood committee of the Club has begun the 2016-2017 Leoistic year by fulfilling its purpose in serving the less fortunate in communities around Dominica.
This year, the Club has awarded five (5) underprivileged students part-scholarships for the upcoming academic school year.
The students are: Resha Laurent attending the Castle Bruce Primary School; Dujan Fagan and Roxie Henry – Roseau Primary School; Jamie Frank – St.Martin Primary and Janella Prevost- Tracella Pre-school.
The part-scholarship was awarded based on lack of financial ability by the parent/ward. The scholarship included items such as school bags , lunch bags and stationery items. Additionally, there will be some payment of school fees.
The members of the Leo club of Dominica extends best wishes to the recipients of the part- scholarship program.
Let us continue to play our part in building education in the lives of our children. Remember the children are our future.
These are beautiful pictures.
Who would not want to bless such adorable young people
I can’t imagine anything more practical than to help with their education.
LEO CLUB members you are doing a good work. Dominica needs more like you! I hope many will join your ranks.
God bless you!
Sincerely, Rev. Donald Hill. Evangelist.
