Aah typical white christianity stuff, sad you don’t get it. That’s the level they prefer us to stay.
Liz, they were all Africans. These stories are all taken from temple walls and papyrus in…Egypt and Nubia(Sudan) Africa. Black as tar.
If it’s not about color will join in encouraging them to take down those white statues and discontinue portraits of Christ as white? (Straight answer from ‘you’ not scripture stuff).

Here you are talking about skin color, while the Saviour is giving you a special invitation. He is saying to you.
“Come to me and I will forgive all your sins. So that when you die you will be with Me, and not in hell fire”
I accepted His invitation many years ago. And it is Joy unspeakable and full of glory.
Will you say yes to Him? His death was because of your sins and mine.

Jesus was not “white” (well ain’t that a conversation starter). the way people in power hated Jesus, and crucified him for nothing at all, even choosing a criminal over him (Barabbas), I’d have to say Jesus was Black. now, although we aren’t 100% sure what Jesus’ true skin color was, and although we may say colour isn’t important, well then here’s a social experiment: change all the figurines of Jesus and his disciples in the cathedrals all over Dominica to black people, and watch how many people come back to church the following sunday. many of us have been brainwashed to think Jesus was white, and have associated whiteness to purity and holiness, and the devil , for all some would care, could as well be a black man. this goes to show how deep we’ve been indoctrinated. i urge the bold priests to change all depictions of Jesus and his disciples in the church to black men, and see how people react to the change. got to know your parishioners really are.

Hot debate. What do you think? Thumb up 8 Thumb down 9

At this point in time that wouldn’t even be a good thing. Their jesus was white. The original one was the African Heru’s story the romans copied. They have re-wired our brain to conform with white people running THEIR religion that our people are put on automatic, complete with Black priests (i know you’re saying there were always black priests, but that’s before christianity was hijacked by Europeans, romans). So much of ‘The Truth’ is out they don’t even need to change that isht. We will all find the African Spiritual System that they distroyed. Even the bishop of Canterbury has hinted to discussions on changing them. But he will get a fight from those black people who are used to the abuse. But many whites who want to distance themselves from those atrocities committed by “the church”, and there are many, like the bishop; have chosen not to be silent. However, they need to be more outspoken, and they have begun, except most fear retribution from white supremacists.

Most probably if Jesus was born in Africa, he could have been a black man.
But since he was born in Bethlehem Judea in the Middle East.. He is far from being a black man.

Even in the year 0 when the romans such as Justinian said Jesus was born, Bethlehem Judea people were Colchians, Black Africans according to Herodotus the Europeans father of history, part of the Egyptian empire. Maybe after the Islamic jihad that started in 641 AD it became known as Middle East but they were all Africans, including Moses.

As a painter and sculptor I have tried my best to correct the erroneous image of Jesus.

My model for a millennium commission in England for a church window depicting “Christ Triumphant” was a Rastafarian. Granted I had to modify my depiction of Christ from one yelling from the mountain top, “I’ve saved the b…..”, to the accepted meek and mild image that gave the impression: “Father help me, I done my best.”.

Some years ago I turned down a commission right here in Dominica because they wanted a sculpture of a wishy-washy white Christ.

Incidentally, if Jesus resurrected turned up today in Dominica, he’d surely be arrested.

I differ from you, if Jesus resurrected and turned up today in Dominica he would not be recognized.

@parrots laying eggs, the apostle John tells us about Jesus: “He came to His own and His own did not receive Him”.

If you knew anything about Jesus, you would know His own were the descendants of Jacob, whom God renamed Israel. Hence, you would know that Jesus’ own were the Israelites of Ancient times, better known as Jews.

God chose a woman of the Israelites, whom we know to be Mary. She was still a virgin at her conception, this means that Jesus, in human form, was the son of a Jewish woman. Now think about that!

Now think of the fact that Jesus, Himself said: “I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; anyone who has seen has seen the Father” The Father is better known as the Almighty God of Heaven and Earth. Does He have any skin complexion? But Jesus is His Christ.

That’s how much they have kept you from knowing Liz. The Israelites of Ancient times were better known as Hebrews. The so-called Jews (modern term) that they the allies that defeated Hitler gave Israel to c 1945 are European aka – white Jews. Hebrews were burned in the African sun. The story of Mary and Jesus was actually Africans Isis and Heru that Europeans emulated, changed and sold you Mary and Jesus aka – Madonna and Child both burned by the African sun, then with gun powder and their Bible took a whole continent from you, yes you – that’s why you are here today. You need more research in that area, read books by Black researchers ancestors like Dr. Ben Jochannan as no one else can tell your people story but from Your perspective. Go for it, then enlighten us.

@Gone Are The Days, you people need to stop with you all’s nonsense and seek the Truth from God’s Word as Jesus instructed you all

Genesis 1: 3 tells us: “And God (Eternal Spirit) said: “Let there be Light” That Light was neither of the sun, moon, nor the stars. It is simply the “Word of God”. So what does that mean?

Go to John 1 and hear apostle John, who walked the Earth with Jesus, saying: “The Word (of God) became flesh and we beheld His glory, the glory of the begotten Son of God” Did John give you a skin complexion for the Son of God, who is Jesus?

Not at all! And the apostle Peter declared to Jesus, the Son: “You are the Christ, the Son of the Living God”! I hope you know that Christ is Spirit; so what is the complexion of a Spirit?

But Jesus is now in Heaven, Him being One with the Father, Almighty God, Eternal Spirit. Now think about that, and remember also, that God is not about flesh and bones.
