One man has been detained in connection with on-going investigations into the discovery of 39 kilograms of cocaine.
The drugs were found last week in an abandoned concrete oven in Petite Savanne.
According to Police P.R.O and head of the Drug Squad, Inspector John Carbon, the drugs have a street value of $1.4 million.
The man was brought into police custody on Tuesday and is being questioned by authorities in relation to the offence.
The name of the individual cannot be released since no charges have been laid.
Last month three men were arrested and appeared before a Roseau Magistrate for possession of and possession with intent to supply 30 kilograms of cocaine.
The Men Orlando Moise, Francis Moise and Clinton Harriete of Petite Savanne and Garneth Jolly of Loubiere received bail in the sum of $150,000 in the High Court.
