Customers and potential customers of telecommunications company, Digicel, have been told, that there are great prizes to be won this Christmas season.
According to Sales and Marketing Manager at Digicel Dominica, Natalie Walsh, over the years, the company has had a number of great value promotions in this market such as the unlimited talk and text promotion, and of late, the talk and data promotion and post-paid plans. However, this Christmas, she said, customers can win phones, a trip to any of L’Espress Des lles locations, food vouchers and cash, among others.
The company, with much fanfare, unveiled their Christmas promotions in front of their Digi centre on Great Marlborough-street on Friday 4th December 2015.
“Today is a very extraordinary day for Digicel’s customers. Today we unveil our Christmas promotion, ‘The more the merrier with Digicel’ this Christmas season,” Walsh said.
“We want to ensure that all our existing customers with Digicel who are paying their post-paid bill in full and on time, who continue to use our service, and our prepaid customers signing up on any data plan, or our new customers between now and the 22nd of December 2015, will qualify to win one of our five weekly prizes.”
She continued, “And guess what? This Christmas, Digicel is giving away $500 every week. Digicel is giving away a smartphone or a tablet to one lucky Digicel customer every single week. That’s not all, we are still giving more! Digicel will be giving away food vouchers, data, credit and also a trip compliments L’Espress Des lles; so you can choose to travel to Martinique, Guadeloupe or St. Lucia.”
In addition, this month, customer’s texting the word ‘Christmas’ to 7171 can qualify for a chance to win a Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
There will be three draws, to be held weekly: Friday the 11th, 18th and 23rd December 2015.
Those who were affected by the passage of Tropical Storm Erika will also benefit this Christmas from Digicel, Walsh promised.
“This year we will be travelling around the city, of Roseau and environs, with Santa. So the kids can look out for Santa,” she stated. “At Digicel, we care for our customers; we care for the kids, especially for those who are unable to purchase a Christmas gift. So we can’t give every single child, but we will look for the less fortunate kids among us and we will make their Christmas extraordinary. We will bring Christmas gifts to them, we will bring the Christmas cheer to them.”
She said the dates and venues will be announced at a later date.
The telecommunications company has also partnered with Kairi FM this season.
“So from December 17th to the 19th we will be part of the grand event at the botanical gardens from 12 to 7 pm.”
As part of the Christmas launch on Friday, customers who signed up for a Smart 150 plan received a DL750 handset free.
