Effective September 1, LIME will introduce a new roaming offering—One Rate Roaming— which allows LIME Caribbean mobile customers to pay one standard roaming rate for all calls made and received while roaming with LIME in any of the 13 islands where LIME operates and in Trinidad & Tobago.
This means that LIME customers will be billed at the same roaming rate regardless of which LIME market they visit and applies to LIME customers ONLY when roaming in:
- Anguilla
- Antigua & Barbuda
- Barbados
- British Virgin Islands (BVI)
- Cayman Islands
- Dominica
- Grenada
- Jamaica
- Montserrat
- St. Kitts & Nevis
- St. Lucia
- St. Vincent & the Grenadines
- Turks & Caicos
- Trinidad & Tobago
And as a special introductory offer, all customers will enjoy FREE incoming calls until November 30, 2010.
With One Rate Roaming calls are billed at one flat rate, and text messages and data are charged at the local rates. Blackberry customers pay no additional charges when they’re roaming in the 13 LIME markets and in Trinidad & Tobago
One Rate Roaming, which is available to both postpaid and prepaid customers in all LIME markets, is simple to access and makes it very easy for customers to calculate their roaming charges on their monthly bills.
Postpaid customers who do not already have roaming access on their LIME mobile can simply call LIME’s Contact Centre 1-800-804-2994 or visit any LIME Retail Store to request roaming services. All LIME prepaid customers are automatically provisioned with roaming access. For postpaid customers security deposits may be required but there are no monthly subscription fees for roaming access on either prepaid or postpaid service.
*One-rate” calls are calls on-island and back home (not to other countries).

The Caribbean is getting to be a single market and economy yet lime coming with a divisive marketing strategy to rake in more revenue from a single market and economy!!!!
That cannot be right.
Lime and Digicel need to see the Caribbean as a single economic space.
I always said to my Lime friends that the one rate that Lime came out with as part of its all talk was a penetrative strategy to regain market share that was lost to Digicel.
These telecoms companies would be better of giving telephone calls for free and make their revenues on internet services, video conferencing, secure net meetings, e-medicine, security surveillance, vehicle tracking services, website hosting, television services, and home shopping.
Come on guys see yourselves not as telephone providers but as a telecoms and technological network solutions providers – so you can be in communications and transportation – phone, internet, networks, websites, supply chain , travel, entertainment and many more
Between Skype, Magic Jack, and the new Google phone service which allows FREE calls from G-mail to US landlines and mobiles, Lime can keep their roaming rates. Period.
Excuse me – this press release from LIME appears somewhat confusing and bordering on misleading. Is LIME saying that we no longer have free roaming? Does that in any way change the equation for “ALL talk” customers? If I read between the lines, it appears LIME is trying to get more money out of its customers. LIME please reprint this release in lay man’s language and let us know what will be different come September 1 and how it will affect our pockets. I’m ready to make that switch – I’m listening.
what is the rate?
What I want to happen is number portability. I want to be able to switch providers without changing my numbers.
what i want to know is when will lime and digi provide d/cans with broadband service for laptops,,,,
