
Meritta Hyacinth, who previously held the position of Senior Programs Officer at the Ministry of Education and was an educator at Wesley High School, has been named the Chief Youth Development Officer.
Hyacinth is reportedly known for her dedication to youth empowerment, leadership growth, and educational initiatives. She has also held the role of the 2024 National President of JCI West Indies, expanding her impact at both the national and regional levels.
According to a press statement on the matter, in her new position, she will be responsible for national initiatives aimed at supporting youth development, including skills training, entrepreneurship, and tackling critical issues such as unemployment.
