A student of the Grandbay Primary school has walked away with the title of Mademoiselle Francophone 2014.
Arkysha Jno Baptiste grinned from ear to ear at the Arawak House of Culture on Saturday afternoon when she learned that she had outperformed five other competitors to win the title.
Speaking to DNO moments after her crowning, Jno baptiste said she was elated about winning and thanked her teachers for their support.
Kimberly Cuffy of the convent prep took the first runner up position and the awards for best French fashion wear and best francophone wear.
Jorjanna Albert of the St. Martin Primary School placed second runner up. She was also awarded the prize for best performing talent.
Zebedijah Maxwell of the Pioneer Prep earned the Miss Photogenic award while Brenae Charles of the W. S. Stevens Primary was awarded the People’s Choice Award.
Candace Marcelle of the Dos Dane Primary took the award for best french oral presentation.

Special congratulations to Zebbie (ZebadiJah Maxwell)! She made her family proud! Despite the fopas of the technician- for every round, she still shone through and barely faltered. She truly enjoyed herself and had fun!!! With that spirit she will go places.
